Aysel Taş (born 21 October 1964), née Aysel Shevkedova (), is a female javelin thrower from Bulgaria with Turkish ethnicity, who competed for Turkey after her emigration. At the 1983 European Athletics Junior Championships held in Schwechat, Austria, she achieved the 5th rank for her native country with 55.30 m (old javelin weight). Coşkun Taş (23 April 1935 – 11 November 2024) was a Turkish international association football, footballer who participated at the 1954 FIFA World Cup. A striker (association football), striker, he played club football in Turkey and Germany for Aydinspor 1923, Aydinspor, Beşiktaş J.K., Beşiktaş, 1. FC Köln and Bonner SC. Nizamettin Taş
Nizamettin Taş (born 1961 in Varto), also known as Botan Rojhilat , was one of the oldest military commanders of the PKK. He was born in Varto, Turkey, and joined the PKK in 1986 and became the military commander of the organisation in 1995. He headed the People's Liberation Army of Kurdistan, the military wing of the PKK and was a member of the PKK Central Committee. He also served in the PKK's Presidential Council.
