Shamkir Rayon
Shamkir District () is one of the 66 Administrative divisions of Azerbaijan, districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the north-west of the country and belongs to the Gazakh-Tovuz Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Gadabay District, Gadabay, Tovuz District, Tovuz, Samukh District, Samukh, Goygol District, Goygol, and Dashkasan District, Dashkasan. Its capital and largest city is Şəmkir, Shamkir. As of 2020, the district had a population of 219,500.
