TalonSoft
TalonSoft, Inc. was an American video game developer and publisher based in Baltimore. History TalonSoft was founded in March 1995, by video game producers Jim Rose and John Davidson. On December 24, 1998, Take-Two Interactive announced that it had acquired TalonSoft, stating that they planned to push their capabilities in the personal computer video game market. The deal comprised 1,033,336 shares accounted as a pooling-of-interest. Bengur Bryan represented TalonSoft in the purchase. By early 1999, TalonSoft's most successful game was '' East Front'', with sales near 90,000 units. TalonSoft ceased all operations in 2002. ''East Front'' is a 1997 computer wargame developed and published by TalonSoft. ''East Front'' was TalonSoft's most commercially successful game by early 1999, with sales near 90,000 units. It began the ''Campaign'' series, the successor to TalonSoft's ''Battleground'' franchise, and was followed by '' West Front'', '' East Front II'', '' Rising Sun'' and '' Divided Ground''. Gameplay ''East Front'' is a turn-based computer wargame that simulates the Eastern Front of World War II. Development ''East Front'' was the first game developed on TalonSoft's ''Campaign'' game engine. It was announced in 1996 for a late-1997 release. Age Of Sail (video Game)
''Age of Sail'' is a 1996 naval combat computer wargame developed and published by TalonSoft. Gameplay The game covered the naval campaigns of the French Revolutionary Wars, Napoleonic Wars and other more minor conflicts in the period 1775 to 1820. In addition to the campaigns there are more than 100 independent scenarios based on significant naval actions including the battles of Trafalgar and Camperdown. The game includes a scenario editor with over 2,000 historically accurate sailing ships allowing the extension of the game by the user. Development TalonSoft announced ''Age of Sail'' on July 12, 1996. It was initially scheduled for a fall 1996 release. ''Tribal Rage'' is a real-time strategy game developed by Disintegrator for Microsoft Windows, released in 1998. It was published by TalonSoft in the USA and by Empire Interactive in Europe. The game was met with low to mediocre reviews. Plot The game is set in California, Earth in the year 2030. War, famine and plague have forced the populace into six different tribes, each fighting for control of the post-apocalyptic wastelands that remain.
