Tallahassee–Leon County Civic Center
The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena located on the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. The arena has the biggest capacity of any arena in the Florida Panhandle. The arena opened in 1981 and was built at a cost of over $30 million, financed by the city. In 2013, the venue was purchased by the Florida State University Board of Trustees. The facility is located on the southeastern side of the university's campus, between the FSU College of Law and the future home of the FSU College of Business. The arena is also located on the "Madison Mile", an economic development that connects the venue and Doak Campbell Stadium. The Florida State University College of Business is the business school of the Florida State University. Established in 1950, it enrolls more than 6,000 students including Undergraduate education, undergraduates and Graduate school, graduate students seeking their bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees. A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light when current flows through it. Electrons in the semiconductor recombine with electron holes, releasing energy in the form of photons. A jumbotron, sometimes referred to as jumbovision, is a video display using large-screen television technology (video wall). The original technology was developed in the early 1980s by Mitsubishi Electric and Sony, which coined JumboTron as a brand name in 1985. Mitsubishi Electric sold their version of the technology as Diamond Vision. ''Fosse'' is a three-act musical revue showcasing the choreography of Bob Fosse. The musical was conceived by Richard Maltby Jr., Chet Walker, and Ann Reinking. Concept and development The first idea for ''Fosse'' was conceived by Chet Walker, who was in many of Bob Fosse's shows and served as dance captain.
