Takuma Katō
is a professional Japanese baseball player. He plays catcher for the Chunichi Dragons, and formerly played for the Chiba Lotte Marines. Early career Katō started playing baseball in elementary school and was a pitcher when he reached junior high. At Mie High School, in his freshman year he converted to catching and by fall of his junior year he had become a regular behind the dish. He took part in the Spring Invitational in his senior year where he caught the attention of scouts after throwing out a runner. He was regular catcher at Aoyama Gakuin University from fall of his first year where he learned to adapt his release from behind the plate to catch faster, more skilled runners. Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. When a Batter (baseball), batter takes their at bat, turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home plate, home) Umpire (baseball), umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. Ryosuke Nomura
is a former Japanese baseball pitcher who played for Chunichi Dragons in Nippon Professional Baseball. He now serves the team as a batting practice pitcher. The Chunichi Dragons drafted him in the first round of the 2014 draft. Early career Born in Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture, Nomura started playing baseball from his first year of elementary school with the Sakata Little Giants. In his third year of middle school, he played for Sakata Shimizu at the National rubber-ball Baseball Championships. Takuya Kinoshita
is a Japanese professional baseball catcher for the Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Early career In Spring of his second year at Kochi High School, Kinoshita solidified himself as starting catcher for the team and in his 2nd and 3rd year he appeared with the school at the summer koshien. Shōta Ōno
Shōta Ōno (大野 奨太, born January 13, 1987, in Ōgaki, Gifu) is a current coach and former Japanese professional baseball catcher for the Chunichi Dragons in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball. He previously played for the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters. Takeshi Nakamura
is a Japanese former professional baseball catcher. He played for the Chunichi Dragons, Yokohama Baystars and Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. He was most recently the first team battery coach for the Chunichi Dragons in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball. Career Nakamura was a 1st round draft pick in 1984 for the Chunichi Dragons and manager Senichi Hoshino where he played for 16 years. Tsutomu Itō
is the former manager of Nippon Professional Baseball's Seibu Lions. He was the number 1 draft pick for the Seibu Lions in 1982 and went on to play for them until 2003. Hiroki Kondo (outfielder)
is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder. He played for the Chunichi Dragons of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
