Takashi Tokita
(born 24 January 1965) is a Japanese video game developer working for Square Enix. He has worked there since 1985, and has worked as the lead designer for '' Final Fantasy IV'' as well as the director of ''Parasite Eve'' and ''Chrono Trigger''. Career Tokita joined Square in 1985 as a part-time employee, not becoming full-time until the development of '' Final Fantasy IV''. For the first three ''Final Fantasy'' games, he worked on graphic design, testing, and sound effects, respectively, before becoming lead designer of '' Final Fantasy IV'' in 1991. Tokita wanted to make a career as a theater actor, but working on ''Final Fantasy IV'' made him decide to become a "great creator" of video games. He was one of only 14 people working on the game. In fiction, a subplot is a secondary strand of the Plot (narrative), plot that is a supporting side story for any story or for the main plot. ''Live A Live'' is a 1994 role-playing video game developed and published by Square for the Super Famicom. A remake for Nintendo Switch was released in July 2022, published by Square Enix in Japan and Nintendo worldwide. The game follows seven distinct scenarios scattered across different time periods, with two more unlockable scenarios linking the narratives together through the recurring antagonist Odio. Gameplay is split between exploration with story-specific twists, and turn-based combat played out on a grid. Production began in late 1993, and was the directorial debut of Takashi Tokita. is a fantasy role-playing video game developed and published by Square in 1992. It is the fifth main installment of the ''Final Fantasy'' series. ''Rad Racer'', known as in Japan, is a racing video game developed and published by Square for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987. In this game, players drive a Ferrari 328 or a generic Formula One racing machine through a racecourse. The game was released in North America and Europe months after its debut. The title became well known for being one of two titles from Square that made use of stereoscopic 3D, which was made possible by wearing a pair of anaglyph glasses. Square president Masafumi Miyamoto initially conceived the game as an opportunity for developer Nasir Gebelli to demonstrate his 3D programming skills. Gebelli developed, and often drew by hand, the graphics for the game's 3D mode. is a Japan-exclusive series of real-time strategy video games. It is directed by Takashi Tokita and published by Square Enix (formerly Square).
