Tak, Thailand
Tak (, ) is a town ('' thesaban mueang'') in north-west Thailand, capital of the Tak Province and the Tak district. As of 2005 the town had a population of 19,900 and an area of 7.27 km2. It covers the ''tambon'' Rahaeng, Nong Luang, Chiang Ngoen, and Hua Diat. It is on the Ping River, 418 km north-north-west of Bangkok. Geography Tak is on the Ping River, which runs from north to south through the town. While the land to the east is fairly flat, the Tenasserim Hills and Dawna Range lie to the west. Climate Tak has a tropical savanna climate (Köppen climate classification ''Aw''). Winters are dry and very warm. Temperatures rise until April, which is very hot with the average daily maximum at . Ping River
The Ping River (, , ; , ) along with the Nan River, is one of the two main tributaries of the Chao Phraya River. It originates at Doi Thuai in the Daen Lao Range, in Chiang Dao district, Chiang Mai province. After passing Chiang Mai, it flows through the provinces of Lamphun, Tak and Kamphaeng Phet. At the confluence with the Nan at Nakhon Sawan (also named ''Paknam Pho'' in Thai), it forms the Chao Phraya River. History Evidence shows that habitation along the Ping River dates back to 1500 BCE. Lampang
Lampang, also called Nakhon Lampang (; , ) to differentiate from Lampang province, is the third largest city in northern Thailand and capital of Lampang province and the Mueang Lampang district. Traditional names for Lampang include Wiang Lakon and Khelang Nakhon. The city is a trading and transportation center. Lampang lies north of Bangkok and southeast of Chiang Mai. Geography Lampang city is in the valley of the Wang River, bordered by the Khun Tan Range on the west and the Phi Pan Nam Range on the east. Tak Airport
Tak Airport is in Nam Ruem subdistrict, Mueang Tak district, Tak province in Northern Thailand, northern Thailand. From November 1990 to March 1994, Thai Airways International served the routes of Tak Airport. There are no airlines in service since then, but the Tak Airport is still in operation. In 2020, the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation has established the Northern Royal Rainmaking Project, Royal Rainmaking Operations Center in Tak Province, using the Tak Airport's area. The construction is expected to be completed in 2023, and planned to move all Northern Royal Rainmaking operations from the Chiang Mai Center and Chiang Mai Airport to the new Tak Center. Mukdahan
Mukdahan (, ) is a town ('' thesaban mueang'') and capital of Mukdahan Province, which became Thailand's 73rd province in 1982. In the northeastern region of the country, on the right (west) bank Mekong River, it was formerly a district of Nakhon Phanom Province. The population of the municipal area was 180,600 in 2010. Mukdahan is 645 km northeast of Bangkok. Phitsanulok
Phitsanulok (, ) is a city municipality in northern Thailand and the capital of Phitsanulok province. It had a city population of 60,827 and an urban population of approximately 200,000 in 2024, making it Thailand's 19th-most populous city proper and one of the major urban centers in the northern region. Nakhon Sawan
Nakhon Sawan (, ) is a city (''thesaban nakhon'') in Thailand. The name literally means "Heavenly City". The city is the capital of Nakhon Sawan province, and covers the complete subdistrict (''tambon'') of Pak Nam Pho and parts of Khwae Yai, Nakhon Sawan Tok, Nakhon Sawan Ok and Wat Sai, as well as all of Mueang Nakhon Sawan district.
