Tajonar Facilities
The Tajonar Facilities (), is the training ground of the Spanish football club CA Osasuna. Located at the southern outskirts of Pamplona, the centre was opened in July 1982 by then-club president Fermín Ezcurra. The club's women's teams and youth sides also play at the facility, with the Tajonar name used as a metonym to refer to the academy system. Since its opening in 1982, the Tajonar Soccer School has been preparing young football players here. In 1987–88, the centre was enlarged to cover an area of . In 2001, the centre was renovated and further expanded with the construction of three additional training pitches. In the following years, another of land were acquired and, after several sales operations, the club kept the current of the Tajonar Facilities. Training Ground (association Football)
A training ground is an area where professional association football teams prepare for matches, with activities primarily concentrating on skills and fitness. They also sometimes form part of a club's youth system, as clubs consider it important to have good facilities to aid the development of young players. Training grounds are usually separate from a team's stadium, as clubs use the facilities to avoid overusing the stadium's pitch. However, teams usually train inside the opposing team's stadium on the day before a European away game, both for the benefit of the media and to become familiar with the surface. CA Osasuna
Club Atlético Osasuna (, ''Osasuna Athletic Club''), or simply Osasuna, is a Spanish professional football club based in Pamplona, Navarre. It was founded on 24 October 1920 and plays in La Liga, the top division of Spanish football. The team's home ground is the 23,516-capacity El Sadar Stadium. Osasuna is one of four professional La Liga clubs to be owned by its members with an elected president. Osasuna is the sole Navarrese club to have played in La Liga. Club Atlético Osasuna B, usually known as Osasuna Promesas is the reserve team of CA Osasuna, a Spanish football club based in Pamplona, in the autonomous community of Navarre. Founded in 1962, currently plays in Primera Federación – Group 2, holding home matches at the '' Tajonar Facilities'' with 4,500-seat capacity. History Osasuna B was founded in 1962 as ''Osasuna Promesas'', being renamed in 1991. Club Atlético Osasuna Femenino is a Spanish women's football team from Pamplona, Navarre, currently playing in the Primera Federación. It is the women's section of CA Osasuna. History From 2003, Osasuna's women's team played in Groups 1 and 2 of the Segunda División for seven seasons, usually finishing mid-table. Marta Unzué, who would later win several titles with FC Barcelona Femení, began her career at the club. CA Osasuna Cantera
The cantera (''quarry'') of Spanish professional football club CA Osasuna is the organisation's youth academy, developing players from childhood through to the integration of the best prospects into the adult teams. The final category within the youth structure is the ''Juvenil A'' () under-18/19 team which represents the club in national competition. The successful graduates then usually move to the club's affiliated team for younger players, CD Subiza (previously CD Iruña), or to the reserve team, Osasuna B which are also considered part of the cantera due to being stages in progression towards the senior team, albeit competing in the adult league system.
