Tahitian Terrace
The Tahitian Terrace was a Polynesian-themed restaurant located in the Adventureland section of Disneyland Park from 1962 to 1993. It was the park's first dinner theater experience, with entertainment provided by a troupe of Polynesian dancers and musicians. The restaurant was originally sponsored by Stouffer's, then Kikkoman took over in the 1980s. The Tahitian Terrace was replaced by Aladdin's Oasis in 1993, and the area has been the Tropical Hideaway since 2018. Another Tahitian Terrace restaurant opened at Hong Kong Disneyland in 2005 and is still operating. Adventureland is one of the "themed lands" at the many Disneyland-style theme parks run by the Walt Disney Company around the world. It is themed to resemble the remote jungles in Africa, Asia, South America, Oceania and the Caribbean. Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (formerly Disney's Polynesian Resort from 1985 to 2014) is a Disney-owned and operated resort located at the Walt Disney World Resort. It began operation on October 1, 1971 as one of Walt Disney World Resort's first two on-site hotels. The resort has a South Seas theme, and originally opened with 492 rooms. Dole Whip (also known as Dole Soft Serve) is a soft serve dairy-free frozen dessert created by Dole Food Company in 1983. Prior to 2023, when Dole Whip began to be sold at retailers, Dole Whip was served at Disney theme parks and Dole Soft Serve was sold elsewhere. The original pineapple flavor is the best known, and additional fruit flavors are sold. The ''Main Street Electrical Parade'' is a nighttime parade that first premiered at Disneyland in 1972 and has since become the longest running parade in Disney history, performing at Disney Experiences, Disney Parks worldwide. Created by Robert Jani and project director Ron Miziker, the parade features Float (parade), floats and live performers covered in over 600,000 electronically controlled LED lights. ''Paint the Night Parade'' is a nighttime parade at Hong Kong Disneyland on Lantau Island, Hong Kong and at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The Hong Kong version premiered on September 11, 2014, as part of the park's 9th anniversary expansion.
