Tagaytay
Tagaytay (), officially the City of Tagaytay (), is a component city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 85,330 people. It is one of the country's most popular destinations for domestic tourism because of its scenery and cooler climate provided by its elevation. Tagaytay overlooks Taal Lake in Batangas and provides views of Taal Volcano Island in the middle of the lake through various vantage points situated in the city. The name ''Tagaytay'' is derived from the Tagalog words '' tagaytay'' or '' taytay'', which mean "mountain ridge" or "low mountain range", in reference to the Tagaytay Ridge on which the city sits. Tagaytay–Calamba Road
The Tagaytay–Calamba Road is a two- to four-lane, secondary and tertiary road in Laguna and Cavite, Philippines. Albeit discontinuous, it connects the city of Calamba in Laguna and the city of Tagaytay in Cavite. The road's missing link that will connect its Tagaytay and Calamba sections is under construction. The segment of road from its western terminus at Tagaytay Rotonda to Ligaya Drive, both in Tagaytay, forms part of National Route 421 (N421) of the Philippine highway network, while the rest of the road remains unnumbered. Tagaytay Highlands
Tagaytay Highlands is a mountain resort and mixed-use development situated in Tagaytay, Cavite, Philippines, with parts under the jurisdiction of Talisay, Batangas, Talisay and Tanauan, Batangas, Tanauan in Batangas. History Willy Ocier of Belle Corporation was behind the concept of Tagaytay Highlands and patterned it after the life he wished for himself and his family, which he deemed acceptable to the growing population of young professionals of his time. He conceptualized the development as a place for people in the city, particularly in Metro Manila to escape the busy city life. Aguinaldo Highway
The Emilio Aguinaldo Highway (often shortened as Aguinaldo Highway) is a four-to-six lane, , network of primary and secondary highways passing through the busiest towns and cities of Cavite, Philippines. It is the busiest and most congested of the three major highways located in the province, the others are Governor's Drive and Antero Soriano Highway. The highway is named in the honor of General Emilio Aguinaldo, the country's first president and a native of Cavite. The northern terminus of the highway is located at the Zapote Bridge at the province's boundary with Las Piñas in Metro Manila. Mendez–Tagaytay Road
National Route 402 (N402) forms part of the Philippine highway network. It runs through the rural municipalities of Cavite. Route description N402 covers the Tanza to Tagaytay segment of Noveleta–Naic–Tagaytay Road, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways. Tanza to Naic N402 starts at N64 ( Antero Soriano Highway) as Santa Cruz Street, a one-way street into the ''población'' of Tanza. Abraham Tolentino
Abraham "Bambol" Ng Tolentino (born February 23, 1964) is a Filipino politician who currently serves as the mayor of Tagaytay and president of the Philippine Olympic Committee. He previously served as representative of Cavite's 8th district from 2019 to 2022 and the 7th district from 2013 to 2019. Early life and education Abraham Tolentino was born on February 23, 1964. He is the youngest of the two sons of Atty. Isaac O. Tolentino, who was the longest-serving mayor of Tagaytay. Taal Lake (, ), formerly known as Bombón Lake, is a fresh water Volcanic crater lake, caldera lake in the Provinces of the Philippines, province of Batangas, on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The lake fills Taal Volcano, a large volcanic caldera formed by very large volcanic eruption, eruptions between 500,000 and 100,000 years ago. Measuring Poverty
Poverty is measured in different ways by different bodies, both governmental and nongovernmental. Measurements can be absolute, which references a single standard, or relative, which is dependent on context. Poverty is widely understood to be multidimensional, comprising social, natural and economic factors situated within wider socio-political processes. The main poverty line used in the OECD and the European Union is a relative poverty measure based on 60% of the median household income. The United States uses a poverty measure based on pre-tax income and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's "economy food plan" by which 11% of Americans are living in poverty, but this is disputed. Crime statistics refer to systematic, quantitative results about crime, as opposed to crime news or anecdotes. Notably, crime statistics can be the result of two rather different processes: * scientific research, such as criminological studies, victimisation surveys; * official figures, such as published by the police, prosecution, courts, and prisons. However, in their research, criminologists often draw on official figures as well. Methods There are several methods for the measuring of crime. Public surveys are occasionally conducted to estimate the amount of crime that has not been reported to police. Such surveys are usually more reliable for assessing trends. However, they also have their limitations and generally don't procure statistics useful for local crime prevention, often ignore offenses against children and do not count offenders brought before the criminal justice system.
