TV Globo São Paulo
TV Globo São Paulo (channel 5) is a Brazilian television station based in São Paulo, Brazil carrying TV Globo for the metropolitan area and Ibiúna, outside of Mogi das Cruzes, which is served by TV Diário (Mogi das Cruzes), TV Diário. Owned-and-operated by Grupo Globo, its production and journalism studios are in the Vila Cordeiro neighborhood, in addition to the commercial and administrative offices, located in the Edifício Jornalista Roberto Marinho, on the same block, and its transmitters are in the Torre da Globo, at the top of the Trianon Corporate Building, in Espigão da Paulista. It is the oldest television station in operation in Brazil and alongside, TV Globo Rio, it is one of the network's flagship stations. Ultra High Frequency
Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimetre). Radio waves with frequencies above the UHF band fall into the super-high frequency (SHF) or microwave frequency range. Lower frequency signals fall into the VHF ( very high frequency) or lower bands. UHF radio waves propagate mainly by line of sight; they are blocked by hills and large buildings although the transmission through building walls is strong enough for indoor reception. GeoCities, later Yahoo! GeoCities, was a web hosting service that allowed users to create and publish websites for free and to browse user-created websites by their theme or interest, active from 1994 to 2009. GeoCities was started in November 1994 by David Bohnett and John Rezner, and was named Beverly Hills Internet briefly before being renamed GeoCities. On January 28, 1999, it was acquired by Yahoo!, at which time it was reportedly the third-most visited website on the WorldWideWeb, World Wide Web.
