T. D. Ierlan
Tristan David "TD" Ierlan is an American professional lacrosse player who plays as a faceoff specialist for the California Redwoods of the Premier Lacrosse League and the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. Regarded as one of the best faceoff specialists of all time, Ierlan holds numerous NCAA records, having played at Albany, Yale, and Denver before turning professional. Additionally, he is a volunteer assistant lacrosse coach at Syracuse. Early life and career Ierlan is the son of Mike and Karen Ierlan. He has a brother, Chayse, who plays lacrosse as a goaltender for Cornell, and a sister, Doyle. He attended Victor Senior High School in Victor, New York, where he earned four varsity letters in football, wrestling, and lacrosse. On the wrestling mat, Ierlan set a school record with 161 wins. Toronto Rock
The Toronto Rock are a Canadian professional box lacrosse team based in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area that competes in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team was the first Canadian franchise in the NLL. The Rock play their home games at the Hamilton Arena in Hamilton, Ontario. The franchise was founded in 1998 as the Ontario Raiders in Hamilton. The Raiders played at Copps Coliseum before being sold to a group of investors led by then Toronto Maple Leafs Assistant GM Bill Watters, who relocated the franchise to Toronto. They were subsequently renamed the "Toronto Rock", and began play at Maple Leaf Gardens in the 1999 season. The Toronto Rock won their 6th league championship on May 15, 2011.
