T. J. Fast
T. J. Fast (born September 2, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who last played with Heilbronner Falken of the German DEL2. Playing career Fast began his junior career in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) for two seasons playing for the Calgary Royals and Camrose Kodiaks. After his second AJHL season in 2004–05, he was drafted in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings as the 60th overall pick in the second round. He subsequently joined the college hockey ranks with the University of Denver. However, after one-and-a-half seasons with Denver, he moved to major junior to play for the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL). In 2007–08, Fast recorded a 17-goal, 54-point season to earn WHL West First Team All-Star honours. Following his final junior season, he was traded by the Kings to the St. Louis Blues on June 4, 2008, in exchange for a fifth round draft pick in 2009. Peoria Rivermen (AHL)
The Peoria Rivermen were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Peoria, Illinois, at the Peoria Civic Center, Carver Arena. After the 2012–13 AHL season, the team relocated to Utica, New York, and became the Utica Comets. History In 2011, Dave Checketts announced that the St. Louis Blues, Scottrade Center, and the Peoria Rivermen were all for sale. On May 10, 2012, Tom Stillman purchased the Peoria Rivermen franchise. On August 30, the Rivermen signed a one-year affiliation agreement with the Evansville IceMen, an expansion team in the ECHL, cutting ties with the Alaska Aces (ECHL), Alaska Aces, who they were affiliated with since the Rivermen joined the AHL. On March 29, 2013, the Rivermen were purchased by the Vancouver Canucks. On April 18, 2013, the AHL approved the sale of the Peoria Rivermen to the Vancouver Canucks. Calgary Royals
The Calgary Mustangs were a Junior ice hockey#Junior A, junior A ice hockey team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). They played in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Father David Bauer Olympic Arena. They were known as the Calgary Royals from 1990 until 2010. On May 4, 2019, it was announced that the Mustangs had elected to take a leave of absence for the 2019–20 season. History The franchise began play in the 1972–73 season as The Pass Red Devils based in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. The Red Devils franchise lasted four years before relocating to the nearby community of Pincher Creek to become the Pincher Creek Panthers. The team lasted two seasons in Pincher Creek before relocating to Calgary to become the Calgary Chinooks. In 1979–80, under a new ownership group, the Chinooks became the Calgary Spurs.
