Sydney University Students AFC
Sydney University Australian National Football Club (SUANFC) was founded in 1865 and is the oldest Australian rules football club in New South Wales. This claim is based on the club being a spin-off from Sydney University Football Club, Australia's oldest rugby union club, which experimented with Australian rules in its early years. SUANFC did not play its first official game until 1887. Sydney University currently fields seven teams: NEAFL (Seniors), Premier (Reserves), Division 1 (Blues), Division 2 (Reds), Division 4 (Golds), Division 5 (Platinums) and Under 19 Premier Division (Colts). North Shore Bombers
North Shore Australia Football Club, known informally as the North Shore Bombers is an Australian rules football club competing in the Sydney AFL Premier League and based out of the Sydney suburb of St Leonards, New South Wales. Formed in 1903 it remains one of only three foundation clubs still in existence and generally recognised as one of the more successful clubs of Sydney AFL. The club's current home ground is Mortgage Choice Oval (also known as Gore Hill Oval) in St. Leonards, next to the Royal North Shore Hospital. Gore Hill Oval was redeveloped in 2018 and re-opened in 2019; and is believed to be the first or second senior AFL ground to have a synthetic surface. The University of Queensland Australian Football Club (UQAFC) is an amateur Australian rules football club playing in thQFADivision 1, Division 4 anQAFLWLeague competitions, overseen by AFL Queensland. Rod Carter (born 29 October 1954) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy and the Sydney Swans in the Victorian Football League (VFL). By the end of his career he was just seven games short of joining the 300 club.
