Eric Leme Walther Maleson is Brazil’s first Olympic Bobsled pilot and Curler. He is considered the father of ice sports in Brazil. Jorge Paulo Lemann
Jorge Paulo Lemann (born August 26, 1939) is a Brazilian billionaire investment banker and businessman with dual Brazilian and Swiss citizenship. Early life In 1939, Lemann was born in Rio de Janeiro to Paul Lemann, a Swiss immigrant who founded the dairy manufacturer, Leco, and Anna Yvette Truebner, a Brazilian of Swiss origin. Berta Lutz
Bertha Maria Júlia Lutz (August 2, 1894 – September 16, 1976) was a Brazilian zoologist, politician, and diplomat. Lutz became a leading figure in both the Pan American feminist movement and human rights movement. She was instrumental in gaining women's suffrage in Brazil and represented her country at the United Nations Conference on International Organization, signing her name to the United Nations Charter. In addition to her political work, she was a naturalist at the National Museum of Brazil, specializing in poison dart frogs. She has four frog species and two lizard species named after her. Adolfo Lutz
Adolfo Lutz (6 October 1855 – 18 December 1940) was a Brazilian physician, father of tropical medicine and medical zoology in Brazil, and a pioneer epidemiologist and researcher in infectious diseases. Life Lutz was born in Rio de Janeiro, on December 18, 1855, son of Gustav Lutz († 1891) and Mathilde Oberteuffer, a family of Bern. He studied medicine in Switzerland, graduating in 1879 at the University of Bern. Ricardo Eugênio Boechat (July 13, 1952 – February 11, 2019) was a Brazilian news anchor. He worked for newspapers such as ''O Globo'', ''O Dia'', ''O Estado de São Paulo'' and '' Jornal do Brasil''. Oswaldo Goeldi
Oswaldo Goeldi (31 October 1895 – 16 February 1961) was a Brazilian artist and renowned engraver. He was the son of Swiss naturalist Émil Goeldi. Goeldi was born in Rio de Janeiro, but lived in Belém, in the state Pará, until he was 6 years old. His father was based there as director of the Museu de História Natural e Etnografia do Pará (presently the Emílio Goeldi Museum). In 1910 his family returned to Switzerland and he started his studies in Bern, and later in Zurich. After serving for a brief period in the army during the First World War, Goeldi moved to Geneva, where he was accepted at the École des Arts et Métiers. Frustrated with the academic environment, he abandoned the school after his father’s death in 1917 and began studying with artists Serge Pahnke (1875–1950) and Henri van Muyden (1860–s.d.), and later with Hermann Kümmerly, with whom he learned lithography. Émil August Goeldi (var. Göldi, Portuguese language, Portuguese var. Emílio Augusto Goeldi) (28 August 1859 – 5 July 1917 in Bern), was a Swiss-Brazilian natural history, naturalist and zoologist. He was the father of Oswaldo Goeldi, a noted Brazilian engraver and illustrator. Biography Goeldi studied zoology in Jena, Germany with Ernst Haeckel, and in 1884 he was invited by Ladislau de Souza Mello Netto, the influential director of the Brazilian Museu Imperial e Nacional, to work at that institution. Goeldi arrived in Rio de Janeiro in 1885 to work in the National Museum (now the Museu Nacional (Brazil), Museu Nacional do Rio de Janeiro.
