Stangvik (municipality)
Stangvik is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The municipality of Stangvik (historically spelled ''Stangvig'') encompassed much of the area surrounding the Trongfjorden and the smaller fjords that branch off of it such as the Ålvundfjorden, Stangvikfjorden, and Todalsfjorden. The municipality was mostly located in what is now Surnadal Municipality and also small portions of what is now Sunndal Municipality and Tingvoll Municipality. Todalsøra or Todalen is a village in Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The rather isolated village is located at the end of the Todalsfjorden, about south of the villages of Surnadalsøra and Skei (the municipal centre of Surnadal). The Surna is a river in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal counties in Norway. It runs from Rindal Municipality (in Trøndelag) to Surnadal Municipality (in Møre og Romsdal). The long river begins near Øvre Rindal at the confluence of the rivers Tiåa and Lomunda. The river then flows west and empties into the Surnadalsfjorden at the village of Surnadalsøra.
