Studios Hergé
The Studios Hergé were, between 1950 and 1986, a Société à responsabilité limitée, SARL company consisting of Belgian cartoonist Hergé and his collaborators, who assisted him with the creation of ''The Adventures of Tintin'' and derived products. Over the years, the studios had between 12 and 50 employees, including some prestigious artists like Jacques Martin (comics), Jacques Martin, Bob de Moor and Roger Leloup. Every creation produced by the studios was attributed to Hergé alone, except for three albums of ''Quick & Flupke'' which are attributed to Studios Hergé on the cover. In 1987, the Studios were disbanded and transformed into the Hergé Foundation by Fanny Rodwell, a former colourist at the Studios and Hergé's widow. Joseph Loeckx
Joseph Franz Hedwig Loeckx is a Belgian comic book artist. He works under the pseudonym of Jo-El Azara. Important series he has worked on include ''Clifton'' and ''Taka Takata''. Biography Loeckx was born in Drogenbos, Flemish Brabant, near Brussels, Belgium, on 4 May 1937. Loeckx is sometimes referred to as Joseph-R. Loeckx but this is an error. During his working life, first he used the penname of Jo-El, subsequently Ernest, and thereafter worked as Jo-El Azara, under which name he has drawn most of his comics. A long career of working with the great names in Belgian and French comics, including Hergé, Macherot, and Uderzo, he was active in publishing his own Taka-Takata albums under his Azéko label. He lives in South of France close to the Pyrenees. His lifelong partner, Josette Baujot, died on 13 August 2009. Yoko Tsuno
''Yoko Tsuno'' is a comics album series created by the Belgian writer Roger Leloup published by Dupuis in '' Spirou'' magazine since its debut in 1970. Through thirty volumes, the series tell the adventures of Yoko Tsuno, a female electrical engineer of Japanese origin surrounded by her close friends, Vic Video and Pol Pitron (see Yoko Tsuno characters). Their adventures bring them to, among other places, Belgium (Bruges), Germany, Scotland, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and also into outer space. Fresco (plural ''frescos'' or ''frescoes'') is a technique of mural painting executed upon freshly laid ("wet") lime plaster.
