Tai Streets
Tai Lamar Streets (born April 20, 1977) is a former professional American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected with the second pick of the sixth round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the Detroit Lions in 2004. He was the leading receiver for the national champion 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team. In high school, he was an All-American in football and as a senior led his team to a 9–0 regular season before losing in the playoffs. In basketball, he was an All-State selection by numerous publications and led his team past Kevin Garnett's high school team to reach the finals of the state championship playoff tournament. Despite losing in the finals, he was the highest votegetter on the All-tournament team. She wrote it with David Sprecher and Lydia Asrat, alongside its producers Dominique and Darius Logan. In "Streets", an R&B ballad with elements of trap music, Doja Cat sings and raps about her desire to return to a former romantic partner. Some critics who reviewed ''Hot Pink'' praised the song for demonstrating her versatility as a musical artist. "Streets" became an Internet-driven sleeper hit in early 2021. It gained commercial success after the "Silhouette Challenge", an online challenge in which participants struck poses while illuminated from behind with red lighting, used the song as background music and went viral on TikTok. "The Streets" is a song by American rapper WC, released as the first single from his second studio album '' Ghetto Heisman'' (2002). The song features guest appearances from fellow rappers Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg, and is produced by record producer Scott Storch, who helped write the song alongside the three rappers. An official remix featuring rapper Xzibit was also released. Music video The music video, directed by Chris Robinson, was shot in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and features a competition called the "Ghetto Olympics". Streets is an Australian ice-cream brand owned by the British multinational company Unilever. Some products are made in China and shipped to Australia and New Zealand. It is part of Unilever's ice cream brand Heartbrand. The company is in a long-term contract with dairy company Dairy Farmers. Founding and history Streets was founded in Corrimal, New South Wales, in the 1930s by Edwin "Ted" Street and his wife Daisy. He set up a distribution depot at Bexley and then a factory where products were manufactured in the Sydney suburb of Turrella until 1996, when production moved to a new facility in Minto. Today most cream-based products are produced at Minto, while water-based products are imported from China. Streets introduced the Paddle Pop in 1953, and sold over ninety million units by century's end. It is per capita the world's best selling ice cream. Will Streets
John William Streets (24 March 1886 – 1 July 1916), better known as Will Streets, was an English soldier and poet of the First World War. Streets was born in Whitwell, Derbyshire, the son of William and Clara Streets, and was the eldest of twelve children. Although academically and artistically gifted, he began work as a miner at the age of fourteen, continuing to educate himself in his spare time. In August 1914, Streets joined the Sheffield City Battalion (Sheffield Pals). In late 1915 and early 1916 he served in Egypt. The battalion was subsequently transferred to the Western Front. Streets, by this time a sergeant, was wounded on the first day of the Battle of the Somme, and subsequently went missing. His body was eventually recovered exactly ten months later, on 1 May 1917, and he is buried at Euston Road Cemetery, Colincamps, France. A street is a public thoroughfare in a built environment. It is a public parcel of land adjoining buildings in an urban context, on which people may freely assemble, interact, and move about. Streets was an American hard rock band made up of singer/keyboardist Steve Walsh, guitarist Mike Slamer, bassist Billy Greer, and drummer Tim Gehrt. They formed in 1982 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Steve Walsh had been in the band Kansas and Mike Slamer has been in several other bands, including Britain's City Boy. He was also a session guitarist. Greer and Gehrt were regional players who had seen success with bands in Tennessee and Atlanta, respectively. Gehrt was working with ex-Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes when Walsh recruited him for Walsh's first solo effort, '' Schemer-Dreamer''. Walsh had noticed him when one of Gehrt's earlier bands had opened for Kansas. The two became friends and eventually spoke of forming a band together. ''Streets'' is a compilation album of early British and French punk rock bands from a variety of independent record labels. It was an attempt at an end of year ‘round up’ and, significantly, was the first album released on Beggars Banquet Records (catalogue number BEGA1). The sleeve notes stated that: "1977 was the year that the music came out of the concert halls & onto the streets; when independent labels sprang out of the woodwork to feed new tastes; when rock music once again became about energy & fun; when the major’s boardrooms lost control. Suddenly we could do anything". Release and reception The Members' contribution to ''Streets'' was their debut on vinyl, and its impact was such that it contributed to a record deal with Stiff Records. The Streets (performance Art)
''The Streets'' is a conceptual and performative work of critical and biographical content by artist Abel Azcona. At the end of 2014 and the early part of 2015, Azcona explored the processual work ''La Calle'' ("the sexual exchange") this time in the Santa Fe locality of Bogota, where he prostituted himself on the streets. In this new work, he explored a change towards the figure of his mother, taking hormones and engaging in prostitution. Azcona was inspired by his biological mother, a prostitute, and sought to empathise with her and with the moment of his own conception. The process continued in the cities of Madrid and Mexico City. The performance emerged, as with the rest of his sex-themed works, as an exercise in empathy with his own biological mother. It was also a social critique, where the artist explored the limits of his body by repeating patterns of sexual abuse, which occurred in his own childhood and in the life of his mother.
