Stina Piper
Christina "Stina" Charlotta Piper (17 January 1734 – 1800) was a Swedish estate manager and countess.Carin Bergström, ''Stina Piper. Grevinna i 1700-talets Sverige.'' She was the daughter of Carl Fredrik Piper and Ulrika Christina Mörner af Morlanda. She was the granddaughter of Christina Piper. In 1754 she married Erik Brahe, who was executed in 1756 for participating in the queen's failed Coup of 1756. Piper, who was pregnant at the time of her husband's execution, tried several times to get a more lenient sentence for her husband. Piper had two children with Brahe: Ulrika Juliana and Magnus Fredrik Brahe. As a widow, Piper successfully managed the estates belonging to her son and step-sons' inheritance during their minority. During her years as a widow, she had a relationship with her cousin Carl Ribbing, with whom she had three children between 1762 and 1769 who were raised in foster homes. Christina Piper, née ''Törne'' (1673 in Stockholm – 1752 in Krageholm Castle, Scania), was a Swedish countess, landowner and entrepreneur, married to the statesman and military count Carl Piper. During the tenure of her spouse in office, she played a considerable political role. Christina Piper became known in history as a landowner and builder. She is known as one of the most successful female entrepreneurs in contemporary Scandinavia, and as one of the greatest builders in the history of Scania. Erik Brahe
Erik Brahe (Stockholm, 23 June 1722 – 23 July 1756, Stockholm), was a Swedish count. He was executed for treason as one of the conspirators participating in the failed coup d'etat of queen Louisa Ulrika, the Coup of 1756. He was the son of count Nils Brahe and Fredrika Vilhelmina Stenbock. He married 1745 to Eva Catharina Sack (1727–1753) and 1754 to Stina Piper, and became the father of Per Eriksson Brahe and Magnus Fredrik Brahe. The Coup of 1756 ( sv, Kuppen 1756) was an attempted coup d'état planned by Queen Louisa Ulrika of Sweden to abolish the rule of the Riksdag of the Estates and reinstate absolute monarchy in Sweden. The attempted coup was exposed and subdued in 1756 shortly before it was due to be put in action. It caused a rift between the royal house and the parliament.
