Stadionul Silviu Ploeșteanu
Stadionul Silviu Ploeșteanu, previously known as Stadionul Tineretului, is a multi-purpose stadium in Brașov, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of SR Brașov and Corona Brașov. The arena was named after Silviu Ploeșteanu (1913–1969) on April 13, 2002, who managed the club between 1948 and 1968. The central section of the stadium's North stand is the second oldest in Romanian football, its lateral sections being completed in 1980. The South stand was built in 1956, and the East and West stands were inaugurated in the 1969–1970 season. The East stand was eventually demolished in the summer of 2008. SR Brașov
Asociația Club Sportiv SR Municipal Brașov (), commonly known as SR Brașov or simply Brașov, is a Romanian football club based in the city of Brașov, Brașov County, which competes in the Liga III. Clubul Sportiv Municipal Corona Brașov, commonly known as Corona Brașov or simply as Corona, was a Romanian football club based in Brașov, Brașov County. History Corona managed to promote for the very first time in history to the Liga I in June 2013. It advanced from the Liga IV to the Liga I in only four years. Only FC Victoria Brănești succeeded to do so before. The participation in the first league was short-lived. Corona was relegated after only one season. In Liga I, Corona won only two games, against Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț and FC Vaslui. The team finished last, with only 14 points in 34 games, with the weakest attack and the weakest defense lines in the championship. Silviu Ploeșteanu (28 January 1913 – 13 April 1969) was a Romanian footballer and manager. Club career Silviu Ploeșteanu, nicknamed ''Ploaie'' (Rain) was born on 28 January 1913 in Craiova, Romania and he started to play football in 1930 at UD Reșița, winning the Divizia A title in his first season as a footballer. In the following season he was a runner-up in Divizia A with UD Reșița, afterwards moving at Universitatea Cluj where he earned another runner-up position with the team in his first season spent at the club. In the following season, he reached with "U" Cluj in the 1934 Cupa României Final where he scored a goal in the first game as the club lost the trophy in front of Ripensia Timișoara.
