"Spaceman" is a song by the Killers. The song was released as the second single from the band's third studio album ''Day & Age'' on November 4, 2008, as a digital download on iTunes, and as 7" and promo CD in the US, Canada and UK. It has been released to radio in Australia and has gone into regular rotation on Triple J. This song was number 17 on ''Rolling Stone''s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008. The song has been used regularly as the opening song during the band's tour. Live performances The group began performing the song at shows during their summer 2008 tour and played it as part of a two-song set on the October 4, 2008, episode of ''Saturday Night Live''. Tijs Michiel Verwest (; born 17 January 1969), known professionally as Tiësto ( ), is a Dutch DJ and music producer from Breda. He was voted "the Greatest DJ of All Time" by '' Mix'' magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by ''DJ Mag'' readers as the "best DJ of the last 20 years". Sander Ketelaars (; born 28 February 1979), better known by his stage name Sander van Doorn () or the initials SvD, is a Dutch electro house DJ and record producer from Eindhoven. Background Sander van Doorn began his recording career in 2004, releasing numerous tech-trance hits on Oxygen Recordings. Ray Tintori is an American director, screenwriter and founding member of Court 13, the filmmaking collective behind ''Beasts of the Southern Wild''. He has directed three short films, as well as several music videos for bands, such as MGMT, Chairlift, The Cool Kids, The Killers, Arcade Fire, and Solange.
