Shengavit (Yerevan Metro)
Shengavit ( hy, Շենգավիթ), is a Yerevan Metro station. It was opened to public on December 26, 1985. Located on Soghomon Tarontsi street within the Artur Karapetyan park, the station serves the Shengavit District Shengavit ( hy, Շենգավիթ վարչական շրջան, ''Šengavit' varčakan šrĵan''), is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, located at the southwestern part of the city. It has common borders with the district .... Shengavit station connects the Gortsaranain station with the Garegin Nzhdeh station. The Karen Demirchyan Yerevan Subway ( hy, Կարեն Դեմիրճյանի անվան Երևանի մետրոպոլիտեն, ''Karen Demirchyani anvan Yerevani metropoliten''; since December 1999), colloquially known as the Yerevan Metro ( hy, Երևանի մետրո), is a rapid transit system that serves the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. Opened on 7 March 1981, it was the eighth metro system in the former Soviet Union. Owned by the government, it is operated by the Karen Demirchyan Yerevan Subway CJSC of the Ministry of Transport and Communication. Shengavit District
Shengavit ( hy, Շենգավիթ վարչական շրջան, ''Šengavit' varčakan šrĵan''), is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, located at the southwestern part of the city. It has common borders with the districts of Malatia-Sebastia, Kentron, Erebuni and Nubarashen. Ararat Province forms the southern borders of the district. Overview With an area of 48.5 km² (18.16% of Yerevan city area), Shengavit is the 2nd-largest district of Yerevan in terms of area. Rail transport (also known as train transport) is a means of transport that transfers passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, which are incorporated in tracks.
