Shannon Stephens is an American singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington, United States. She has released three solo albums, an EP entitled ''How I Got Away'' (1999), and also has exclusive tracks featured on both Asthmatic Kitty Records Samplers. Stephens was also featured on a bonus track of Denison Witmer's 2002 release titled ''Philadelphia Songs'' on "Burnt Toast Vinyl" (US). Stephens was the lead singer in aHolland, Michigan band Marzuki that featured Sufjan Stevens on the guitar, drums, and recorder. The band released two albums, one titled ''Marzuki'' (MS Records, 1996) and a second titled ''No One Likes a Nervous Wreck'' (MS Records, 1998). Denison Witmer is an American singer-songwriter from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States. His first release, in 1995, was a cassette titled ''My Luck, My Love''. He has since released six studio LPs; two live albums, a cover album (''Recovered''); three EPs; and an LP with The River Bends—a side project consisting of members of the Philadelphia-based alt-country band One Star Hotel. Witmer's 2005 album, '' Are You a Dreamer?'', produced by Don Peris of The Innocence Mission and featuring Sufjan Stevens, received acclaim, including positive reviews from Pitchfork Media and ''Entertainment Weekly''. Vigilantes of Love is an American rock band fronted by Bill Mallonee, with many secondary players drawn from the musician pool in and around Athens, Georgia, United States. In its later manifestations in the later 1990s and early 2000s, Mallonee usually sang, played lead and rhythm guitar and harmonica, although in earlier bands he played drums. The band takes its name from the New Order song "Love Vigilantes," although their sound tends more to folk, Americana, and country rock than new wave. Joseph Will Oldham (born January 15, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. From 1993 to 1997, he performed and recorded in collaboration with dozens of other musicians under variations of Palace (Palace, Palace Flophouse, Palace Brothers, Palace Songs, and Palace Music).
