Serpukhovskaya
Serpukhovskaya (russian: Серпуховска́я) is a Moscow Metro station in the Zamoskvorechye District, Central Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia. It is on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line. The station opened on November 8, 1983. Serpukhovskaya is 43 metres (141 feet) underground. Its name originates from the namesake street, which in turn originates from the historic town of Serpukhov. Station design Serpukhovskaya station was designed by Nina Aleshina with and Lydia Y. Gonchar (russian: Лидия Юрьевна Гончар). The station features grey and white vaults. There is a three-vault span with white marble lines in the main hallway. The bottoms of the columns holding the ceiling are clad in marble carved so as to look like brick and stone. Dobryninskaya
Dobryninskaya (russian: Добры́нинская) is a station on the Koltsevaya Line of the Moscow Metro. Opened on 1 January 1950 it was part of the first segment of the fourth stage of the system. It was originally named Serpukhovskaya (russian: Серпуховская), after the Serpukhovskaya Square. History On 6 June 1961 the station was renamed in honour of Peter Dobrynin a bust of whom was placed in front of the vestibule. In 1983, the station Serpukhovskaya of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line was opened (also a work of Popov) and a transfer-passage was created from the middle of Dobryninskaya to the middle of the new station. On 22 December 2006 the vestibule was closed for nearly 18 months during which time the old escalators were replaced, new turnstiles were installed and a complete overhaul of all communication systems, new security and a thorough restoration was carried out. Nina Aleksandrovna Aleshina (russian: Нина Александровна Алёшина, IPA: []; July 17, 1924 – November 17, 2012) was a Russian architect and head of the design department ' for the Moscow Metro for a decade. There are 250 active stations of the Moscow Metro. Of these, 209 on Moscow Metro proper, and some additional ones that are marketed by Moscow Metro: 6 stations of Moscow Monorail and 31 stations of the Moscow Central Circle.
