Seaford Senior High School is an American public high school in Seaford, Delaware. The school's attendance area includes the towns of Seaford, Blades, and a small portion of Bridgeville. Academics Students can choose from an array of academic courses from college-prep to Advanced Placement to prepare them for the college/university of their choosing. Teachers on the secondary level use the curriculum mapping process to align their content with the Delaware Content Standards, articulate instruction from grades 6–12, and coordinate assignments at each grade level. For the graduating class of 2010, students taking the SAT scored an average of 474 in math and 460 in verbal for a combined score of 934. Michael Robert Neill (born April 27, 1970 in Martinsville, Virginia) is an American former Major League Baseball and Olympic baseball player. Career His baseball career included a stint with the Oakland Athletics and ended with the Olympic Gold Medal team in the 2000 games in Sydney, Australia. He was named Delaware Athlete of the Year in 2000. At Villanova University he compiled a .417 career batting average, led the Wildcats to the 1989 and 1991 Big East Conference crowns and was named 1991 Big East Player of the Year. Yuri Schwebler
Yuri "George" Schwebler (1942–1990), was a Yugoslavia-born American conceptual artist and sculptor. He was active in the arts in the 1970s in Washington, D.C. and most notably in February 1974, he transformed the Washington Monument into a sundial. He showed his work at the Jefferson Place Gallery. Mark Scharf (born September 21, 1956), is an American playwright, actor and teacher. His plays have received readings and productions across the United States and internationally in England, Mainland China, Australia, Canada and Singapore. Biography Mark Scharf was born in New Albany, Indiana, but moved while young with his family to Seaford, Delaware, where he lived until graduating from Seaford High School in 1974. Mark then moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he attended Virginia Commonwealth University and began his theatre career as an actor. Lovett Shaizer Purnell (born April 7, 1972), is a former American football tight end in the National Football League. Purnell attended Seaford High but graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne, Pennsylvania before attending West Virginia University. After graduating from WVU, he was selected in the 7th round (216th overall) by the New England Patriots in the 1996 NFL Draft. Delaware State Senate
The Delaware Senate is the upper house of the Delaware General Assembly, the State legislature (United States), state legislature of the U.S. state of Delaware. It is composed of 21 Senators, each of whom is elected to a four-year term, except when reapportionment occurs, at which time Senators may be elected to a two-year term.
