The Save (; oc, Sava) is a 144 km long river in southern France, left tributary of the Garonne. Its source is in the northern foothills of the Pyrenees, south of Lannemezan. Plateau De Lannemezan
The plateau de Lannemezan () is a plateau in Hautes-Pyrénées Departments of France, département, in Pyrenees foothills, not far from Spain, southwestern France, with about 10,000 inhabitants. Its name is due to the city Lannemezan, which lies in the middle of the plateau. The plateau of Lannemezan through 155 years of work (1840-1995)can be considered the water tower across Biscay. The Canal de la Neste along with more than 28 km takes its water from the dam-Beyréde Jumet in the Quatre-Vallées, Aure Valley fed by the lakes in the Néouvielle massif (Aumar-Aubert-Orédon) and Louron (caillaouas) and ends on the Plateau de Lannemezan through the channel of sludge. L'Isle-en-Dodon
L'Isle-en-Dodon (; oc, L'Isla de Haut) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France. The commune has the short border with the neighbouring department, Gers. Geography L'Isle-en-Dodon is located on the Save river, at the northern end of the plate of Lannemezan. The slopes which surround the city point out the nearby gersois country. Population The inhabitants of the commune are called lislois Transportation L'Isle-en-Dodon is 60 kilometres from Toulouse by road, a journey which takes approximately an hour. History The town is a bastide founded in the 1290s on the initiative of the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Grandselve who had founded Beaumont-de-Lomagne ten years earlier.
