The Saulteaux (pronounced , or in imitation of the French pronunciation , also written Salteaux, Saulteau and other variants), otherwise known as the Plains Ojibwe, are a First Nations band government in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians (pronounced "Soo Saint Marie", oj, Baawiting Anishinaabeg), commonly shortened to Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians or the more colloquial Soo Tribe, is a federally recognized Native American tribe in what is now known as Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The tribal headquarters is located within Sault Ste. Marie, the major city in the region, which is located on the St. Marys River. Sault (band)
Sault (frequently stylised as SAULT) are a British music collective that make a mixture of R&B, house and disco. The project is helmed by producer Inflo, best known for his work with Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka, Cleo Sol, Jungle and Adele. Despite critical acclaim, Sault eschew interaction with the media and feature an array of unnamed collaborators. They have never played a live show, given an interview or released a music video in support of their music. They frequently foreground Black-centric issues. Since their emergence in 2019, the collective has released eleven studio albums, with '' 5'' (2019), '' 7'' (2019), '' Untitled (Black Is)'' (2020), '' Untitled (Rise)'' (2020), and ''Nine'' (2021), being released between 2019 and 2021. Richard Sault (born around 1630s ; died 1702) was an English mathematician, editor and translator, one of The Athenian Society. On the strength of his ''Second Spira'' he is also now credited as a Christian Cartesian philosopher. Andrew Pyle (editor), ''Dictionary of Seventeenth Century British Philosophers'' (2000), article on Sault, pp. 711-3. Life He kept in 1694 a mathematical school in Adam's Court, Broad Street, near the Royal Exchange, London. John Dunton the publisher, learning of him and his skill in mathematics, supplied him with literary work. When the notion of establishing '' The Athenian Mercury'' occurred to Dunton, he sought Sault's aid as joint editor and contributor. Grand Falls (french: Grand-Sault) is a town located in Victoria County, New Brunswick, Canada. Grand Falls is situated on the Saint John River. The town derives its name from a waterfall created by a series of rock ledges over which the river drops . On 1 January 2023, Grand Falls will expand, annexing the village of Drummond, the rural community of Saint-André, the local service district of the parish of Grand Falls, and part of the LSD of the parish of Drummond. History In 1686, Monsignor de Saint-Vallier (of Quebec) was the first known person to mention in writing the magnificent falls for which Grand Falls is named.
