Nanni Campus (born Gianvittorio Campus, 3 September 1952) is an Italian academic and politician, Mayor of Sassari from 2000 to 2005 and again since 2019. Biography After graduating in Medicine at the University of Sassari, Campus began his career teaching in his own alma mater. Meanwhile, he joined the Italian Social Movement and he later took part in the foundation of Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia, with which he is elected to the Italian Senate in 1994 and in 1996. During 1996, he left Berlusconi's party to join Gianfranco Fini's National Alliance. He left his seat in the Senate in 2000, once he was elected Mayor of Sassari, supported by the whole Pole for Freedoms. In 2005, at the end of his term, Campus did not run again for mayor. The Mayor of Sassari is an elected politician who, along with the Sassari's City Council, is accountable for the strategic government of Sassari in Sardinia, Italy. Mario Diana (born 9 May 1947) is an Italian politician. Biography Diana belongs to a noble family, well known in Marmilla. He subsequently transplanted to Oristano, where he has lived for years in the San Paolo-Torangius neighborhood. He is married and has three children. Before joining political activity full time, he worked as an entrepreneur in the auto parts sector and later in the real estate sector. Between the 80s and 90s he was also president of the FIGC of Oristano and regional councilor of the same Federation; president of the Ales football club and more recently of the main football team of Oristano, Tharros. He was municipal councilor of Oristano for Christian Democracy between 1990 and 1993 and again between 1998 and 2000. Christian Popular Union
The Christian Popular Union ( it, Unione Popolare Cristiana, UPC) is a Christian-democratic political party in Italy. The UPC was launched in August 2009 by Antonio Satta, a former Christian Democrat who had been the regional leader of UDEUR and, later, of the Sardinian Autonomist Populars. The party is based in Sardinia, but has a national structure, consisting primarily of former members of the UDEUR, notably including Gianfranco Saraca, Luca Bagliani, Danilo Bertoli, Sergio Deorsola, and Antonio Potenza (leader of Basilicata's United Populars).
