Sahuaro High School
Sahuaro High School is a public high school located in Tucson, Arizona, United States, part of the Tucson Unified School District. It is located on the far east side of the city at 545 North Camino Seco, just north of Vicksburg Street between Broadway and Speedway Boulevards. The school's mascot is the cougar, and its colors are scarlet and navy. The school scored 87/83/23/81 on the AIMS (Arizona Instruments to Measure Standards) tests in Reading/Math/Science/Writing. Jay Dobyns
Jay Anthony "Jaybird" Dobyns (born July 24, 1961), is a retired Special Agent and veteran undercover operative with the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), New York Times Best-Selling author, public speaker, and high school football coach. Early life Dobyns was born in Hammond, Indiana in 1961, but was raised in Tucson, Arizona. He was a standout athlete in several sports at Sahuaro High School before attending the University of Arizona to play football. He became an All- Pacific-10 conference wide receiver, College Football All-American Candidate at Wide Receiver and was named to Arizona Wildcats "All-Century" football team. In 2012, Dobyns was named the "#1 Badass Arizona football player in history'" by the Tucson Citizen newspaper. Dobyns graduated in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in public administration. John Mistler
John Andrew Mistler (born October 28, 1958) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills in addition to the Arizona Outlaws of the United States Football League. He was drafted in the third round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Giants out of Arizona State University. Mistler worked as a color analyst on Arizona Cardinals radio broadcasts from 1994–2005. Sammy Khalifa
Sam Khalifa (born December 5, 1963) is an American former professional baseball player. An infielder, Khalifa played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1985 through 1987. He retired from baseball when his father, Rashad Khalifa, was murdered in 1990. Early life Khalifa was born in Fontana, California, while his father, Rashad Khalifa, obtained a PH.D in Biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside. As a child, he relocated to the Middle East on two occasions. When he was a few months old, his family moved to Alexandria, Egypt, where his father worked for the Egyptian government. Chad Griggs
Chad Griggs (born May 15, 1978) is former American mixed martial artist who most recently competed in the UFC's Light Heavyweight division. A professional competitor since 2005, he has also formerly competed for the Tucson Scorpions of the IFL and Strikeforce. Background Griggs is from Tucson, Arizona and attended Sahuaro High School.
