Sousse or Soussa ( ar, سوسة, ; Berber:''Susa'') is a city in Tunisia, capital of the Sousse Governorate. Located south of the capital Tunis, the city has 271,428 inhabitants (2014). The Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Tunisiens (English: ''Tunisian National Railway Company''), abbreviated SNCFT, is the national railway of Tunisia and under the direction of the Ministry of Transport. SNCFT was founded on December 27, 1956 It Replaced the Tunisian Railway Farms Company (Company Fermiere et Chemin de fer Tunisien) (CFT). Headquartered in Tunis the company employs about 6000 people.
