SV Prussia-Samland Königsberg was a German association football club from the city of Königsberg, East Prussia (today Kaliningrad, Russia). The club was founded in early 1904 as ''Fußball-Club Prussia Königsberg'' and in 1908 merged with ''Sportzirkel Samland Königsberg 1904'' to form ''Sportvereinigung Prussia-Samland Königsberg''. The combined side captured its first Baltenverband championship in 1910 by beating '' BuEV Danzig'' 2:1 and went on to take part in opening qualification round of the national championship. Yorck Boyen Insterburg
Yorck Boyen Insterburg was a German association football club from the city of Insterburg, East Prussia (today Chernyakhovsk, Russia). The team was founded in 1921 as ''Sport-Verein Yorck Insterburg.'' In 1934, it was merged with ''Militär Sport-Verein von Boyen Tilsit'' to form the army side ''Militär Sport-Verein Yorck von Boyen Insterburg''. The Tilsit club had been formed in 1923 as ''Sport-Verein von Boyen Tilsit''. The name of the association recognized the Prussian generals Ludwig Yorck von Wartenburg and Hermann von Boyen. Baltic Football Championship
The Baltic football championship () was the highest association football competition in the Prussian provinces of East Prussia, Pomerania and West Prussia. The competition was disbanded in 1933. It should not be confused with the Baltic Cup, a competition for the national teams of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Instead, the competition was named after the Baltic Sea, its clubs mostly based on the shore of this sea. Overview German football was, from its beginnings, divided into regional associations, each of which carried out their own championship matches. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga.
