The Silver State Classic Challenge is an authorized Open Road Racing event that is run since 1988 on a stretch of State Route 318 in Nevada, United States, which is closed for the occasion. It is called the fastest road race in the world by Guinness, It was the venue for the highest speed achieved in an open road race, when Charles "Chuck" Shafer and Gary Bockman averaged in 2017, in a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo stock car, as used in NASCAR. ''Siren Song of the Counter Culture'' is the third studio album by American punk rock band Rise Against. Released on August 10, 2004, it was Rise Against's first album on a major record label, after the band signed with DreamWorks Records in September 2003. The recording sessions for the album with producer Garth Richardson were split between two studios in British Columbia. These sessions were marred by numerous distractions and inconveniences, such as the absorption of DreamWorks into Geffen Records, the arrival of a new guitarist, accusations of the band selling out, and the birth of lead vocalist Tim McIlrath's child. Songshan Cultural And Creative Park
The Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (SSCC; ) is a multifunctional park in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The park was initially constructed in 1937 as a tobacco factory under the name under the Japanese government. After Japan ceded Taiwan in 1945, the Taiwan Provincial Monopoly Bureau took over the factory and renamed it as the Songshan Tobacco Plant of the Taiwan Provincial Monopoly Bureau. In 1947, the plant was renamed again as Songshan Tobacco Plant of the Taiwan Tobacco and Wine Bureau. The factory ceased to produce cigarettes in 1998 for concern over urban planning, tobacco and liquor marketing regulatory changes and the decline in tobacco demand.
