Søren Søndergaard (politician)
Søren Bo Søndergaard (born 16 August 1955) is a Danish teacher, metalworker and politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Red-Green Alliance. He was elected into parliament at the 2015 Danish general election, and previously served from 1994 to 2005. He was a Member of the European Parliament for the People's Movement against the EU and associated member of GUE/NGL from 2007 to 2014. Biography Søren Søndergaard was born into the family of engineer Ernst Søndergaard and office assistant Birthe Søndergaard. Political career Søndergaard was first elected into the Folketing at the 1994 election. During his first term in the Folketing, he became a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and a rapporteur on Albania and political prisoners in Azerbaijan. 2014 European Parliament Election In Denmark
The 2014 European Parliament election in Denmark was an election held in Denmark on 25 May 2014 to decide who would represent Denmark in the European Parliament (EP) from 2014 to 2019. The Danish People's Party with 26.6% of the votes became the largest party for the first time in a nationwide Danish election. The election was held alongside the Danish Unified Patent Court membership referendum where 62.5% of the voter approved ratification of the '' Agreement on a Unified Patent Court''. Frederikssund Municipality
Frederikssund Kommune () is a municipality () on the shores of Roskilde Fjord in the northern part of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. On 1 January 2007, the municipality was enlarged to include the old Jægerspris, Slangerup, and Skibby municipalities. It now covers an area of 250 km2 and has a population of 47,052 (1. January 2025). As of 1 January 2014 its mayor is John Schmidt Andersen, a member of the agrarian liberal Venstre political party.
