Sønderjylland Elite Speedway (SES) (English Southern Jutland Elite Speedway) is a motorcycle speedway club from Vojens in Denmark, who compete in the Danish Speedway League. The Vojens speedway team was formerly known as Vojens Speedway Klub. Track The club's home venue is the Vojens Speedway Center, which is located about 3 kilometres in a south westerly direction from the centre of Vojens, on Tinglykke 9. History Vojens Speedway Ole Olsen (speedway rider), Ole Olsen and Aage Sondergaard formed a company called Speedsport Ltd and in the Spring of 1975, they started construction on a speedway stadium that would meet international specifications. The Vojens Speedway Center was opened on 21 September 1975 and would become an international venue for major speedway events. Vojens Speedway Center
The Vojens Speedway Center is a Motorcycle speedway track located in Vojens, Denmark. The track has been part-owned since its opening by Denmark's first three time Speedway World Champion Ole Olsen. Track The Speedway Center is a long track which opened in September 1975 and has a spectator capacity of approximately 15,000. Since its opening it has hosted numerous Danish national and international meetings including hosting the Danish Championship in 1977, 1979 and 1981. World Championship meetings The Speedway Center hosted the Speedway World Final in 1988 and again in 1994, the final time the World Championship was held in the single meeting format before the advent of the Speedway Grand Prix series in 1995. It hosted the Final of the World Pairs Championship in 1979 and 1993, the World Team Cup in 1983, 1986 (round 2 of 3), 1991 and 1998, as well as the World Cup in 2003, 2008 and 2010. 2011 Danish Speedway Season
Individual Individual Championship The 2011 Danish Individual Speedway Championship was the 2011 edition of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship. The final was staged over two rounds, at Esbjerg and Slangerup, and was won by Nicki Pedersen. It was Pedersen's seventh national title, taking him clear of Hans Nielsen in second place on the all-time list. Only Ole Olsen had won more titles. The competition started with two quarter finals, with five progressing to the semi-final from each. The top nine then officially qualified from the semi-final, joining six seeded riders and a wild card in the final series. The final series was held over two rounds, with the top four scorers from the two rounds then competing in a Grand Final. The points from the Grand Final were then added to the total score and the overall winner was the rider with the most total points.
