Séamus Coughlan
James J. Coughlan (27 March 1953 – 9 February 2013), known as Séamus Coughlan, was an Irish Gaelic footballer and Coach (sport), coach. At club level he played with Nemo Rangers GAA, Nemo Rangers and was also a member of the Cork senior football team. Early life Born and raised in Cork (city), Cork, Coughlan first played with Ballyphehane side Joseph Plunkett's that won city under-13 hurling and football titles; however, following an objection to an overage player, were not awarded medals. He was a contemporary of Carl Humphries, and briefly played schoolboy soccer with Everton F.C.#Relationships with other clubs, Everton as a centre-forward. Coughlan attended Coláiste Chríost Rí, and was a member of the school's senior football team that won the Corn Uí Mhuirí title in 1970, before later claiming the Hogan Cup after a defeat of a St Malachy's College team that featured Martin O'Neill. Nemo Rangers Hurling and Football Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Ballinlough, Cork, Ballinlough, Cork (city), Cork, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Cork Under-21 Football Championship
The Cork Under-21 Football Championship is a Gaelic football competition in County Cork, Ireland for players under the age of 21. Clubs affiliated to Cork board compete to win this championship. All eight of the divisions in Cork organize their own championship. The divisional winners compete against each other to decide the county title. Austin Stacks is a hurling and Gaelic football club based in Tralee in County Kerry, Ireland. Founded in 1917, the club has more All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medals and GAA All-Stars than any other Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Ireland. Dohenys is a Gaelic Athletic Association club, fielding Gaelic football and hurling teams in the town of Dunmanway, County Cork, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It won its only Cork Senior Club Football Championship in 1897. UCD GAA or University College Dublin Gaelic Athletic Association club is a Dublin based Gaelic games club in University College Dublin. The UCD hurling club was founded in 1900 and boasted the mottos "Ad Astra" and "Cothrom Féinne". 1974 Cork Senior Football Championship
The 1974 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 86th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 27 January 1974. The championship began on 7 April 1974 and ended on 6 October 1974. University College Cork entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by St. Nicholas' in the first round. On 6 October 1974, Nemo Rangers won the championship following a 2-08 to 1-08 defeat of Carbery in the final. This was their second championship title overall and their first title since 1972. Carbery's Tony Murphy was the championship's top scorer with 0-22. St Vincents is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Marino, Dublin, Marino, on the northside of Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club was founded in 1931. Although the club's grounds were in Raheny for a number of years, it moved to its home back into Marino in 1987. St Vincents merged with Marino Camogie Club in 1997 to form the St. Vincents Hurling, Football and Camogie Club. The 1972 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 84th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 30 January 1972. The championship ran from 7 April to 19 November 1972. Carbery entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Muskerry in the quarter-finals. The final was played on 19 November 1972 at the Athletic Grounds in Cork between Nemo Rangers and University College Cork in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Nemo Rangers won the match by 2-09 to 0-08 to claim their first ever championship title. Dinny Allen was the championship's top scorer with 1-18. UCC is a football and hurling club associated with University College Cork. UCC teams play in the Cork Senior Football Championship and Cork Senior Hurling Championship as well as the two main third-level competitions namely the Sigerson Cup in football, the Fitzgibbon Cup in hurling and the Ashbourne Cup in camogie.
