São Paulo FC (futsal)
The futsal department of São Paulo FC is the area of the club designated for the futsal competitions. Disputed in the Liga Nacional de Futsal (LNF) several times, but always in partnership with another team previously established and now with its own independent futsal department, it disputes the competitions of Liga Paulista de Futsal, the state level of futsal in São Paulo, since 2021. Futsal In Brazil
Futsal in Brazil is governed by the Brazilian Futsal Confederation. Although it is not the most popular spectator sport in the country, it is the most practiced. History Futsal was developed in Brazil and Uruguay around the same time, in 1934 in Uruguay and in the 1940s in Brazil. The Liga Nacional de Futsal (LNF) is the premier futsal league in Brazil, and was created in 1996 with the purpose of setting up a championship with the best futsal teams of the country, corresponding to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Brazilian Football Championship Série A. It is organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation, Brazilian Futsal Confederation (CBFS). The winner (and sometimes the runner-up) qualifies to the Supercopa do Brasil de Futsal.
