Syrian Revolution Network
The Syrian Revolution Network ( ar, شبكة الثورة السورية), originally called the Syrian Revolution 2011 and the Syrian Days of Rage, is a Syrian opposition activist organization active in the Syrian Civil War. It was originally a Facebook page created by Fida al-Sayed, a Swedish activist living in Eskilstuna, during the Arab Spring in the beginning of 2011. By May 2011, it was considered the most influential Syrian activist organization in the mobilization of protesters against the Syrian government during the Syrian uprising. History Creation In January 2011, during the Arab Spring and the Egyptian Revolution, Fida al-Sayed, together with his two younger brothers Mustafa and Yasir, created the page "Syrian Revolution" on Facebook. By February, the page gained more than 16,000 followers. Fida Al-Sayed
Fidaaldin Al-Sayed Issa ( ar , فداء الدين السيد عيسى), born January 15, 1985, is a Syrian political activist who lives in Eskilstuna, Sweden. Fida is the chairman of the ''Youth Coalition of March 15'' and former spokesperson for the Facebook page ''" The Syrian Revolution"''. Fida is together with his father and siblings, one of the founders of the ''Office of the Damascus Declaration'' in Sweden back in 2008. He has been called an infidel on Syrian TV many times. It has also been alleged that his Syrian citizenship has been withdrawn. According to Syrian press, Fida leads Sweden’s chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood. (not confirmed). While Fida has not directly dismissed these rumors, he has at least once explicitly stated during a television interview that he does not belong to the Muslim Brotherhood. Syrian Opposition
The Syrian opposition ( ar, المعارضة السورية ', ) is the political structure represented by the Syrian National Coalition and associated Syrian anti-Assad groups with certain territorial control as an alternative Syrian government. The Syrian opposition evolved since the beginning of the Syrian conflict from groups calling for the overthrow of the Assad government in Syria and who have opposed its Ba'athist government. Prior to the Syrian Civil War, the term "opposition" ( ar, المعارضة ) had been used to refer to traditional political actors, for example the National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change; that is, groups and individuals who have had a history of dissidence against the Syrian state. TV4 (Sweden)
TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years. The 2011 Egyptian revolution, also known as the 25 January revolution ( ar, ثورة ٢٥ يناير; ), began on 25 January 2011 and spread across Egypt. The date was set by various youth groups to coincide with the annual Egyptian "Police holiday" as a statement against increasing police brutality during the last few years of Hosni Mubarak's presidency. It consisted of demonstrations, marches, occupations of plazas, non-violent civil resistance, acts of civil disobedience and strikes. Millions of protesters from a range of socio-economic and religious backgrounds demanded the overthrow of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The Arab Spring ( ar, الربيع العربي) was a series of anti-government protests, uprisings and armed rebellions that spread across much of the Arab world in the early 2010s. It began in Tunisia in response to corruption and economic stagnation. From Tunisia, the protests then spread to five other countries: Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain. Eskilstuna () is a city and the seat of Eskilstuna Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden. The city of Eskilstuna had 67,359 inhabitants in 2015, with a total population of 100,092 inhabitants in Eskilstuna municipality (2014). Eskilstuna has a large Sweden Finn population. The town is located on the River Eskilstunaån, which connects Lake Hjälmaren and Lake Mälaren.
