Since 1991, PODS has been held jointly with the ACM SIGMOD Conference, a research conference on systems aspects of data management. PODS is regarded as one of the top conferences in the area of database theory and data algorithms. It holds the highest rating of A* in the CORE2021 rankin The conference typically accepts between 20 and 40 papers each year, with acceptance rates fluctuating between 25% and 35%. Database Theory
Database theory encapsulates a broad range of topics related to the study and research of the theoretical realm of databases and database management systems. Theoretical aspects of data management include, among other areas, the foundations of query languages, Computational complexity theory, computational complexity and expressive power (computer science), expressive power of queries, finite model theory, database design theory, dependency theory (database theory), dependency theory, foundations of concurrency control and database recovery, deductive databases, temporal database, temporal and spatial databases, real-time databases, managing uncertain data and probabilistic databases, and Web data. Most research work has traditionally been based on the relational model, since this model is usually considered the simplest and most foundational model of interest. Corresponding results for other data models, such as object-oriented or semi-structured models, or, more recently, graph ...

Association For Computing Machinery
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is a US-based international learned society for computing. It was founded in 1947 and is the world's largest scientific and educational computing society. The ACM is a non-profit professional membership group, reporting nearly 110,000 student and professional members . Its headquarters are in New York City. The ACM is an umbrella organization for academic and scholarly interests in computer science (informatics). Its motto is "Advancing Computing as a Science & Profession". History In 1947, a notice was sent to various people: On January 10, 1947, at the Symposium on Large-Scale Digital Calculating Machinery at the Harvard computation Laboratory, Professor Samuel H. Caldwell of Massachusetts Institute of Technology spoke of the need for an association of those interested in computing machinery, and of the need for communication between them. ..After making some inquiries during May and June, we believe there is ample interest to ...

SIGAI
''Sigai'' () is a 2017 Tamil language drama film directed by Jagadeesan Subu. The movie has Kathir in the lead role while Meera Nair, Raj Bharath, Riythvika, and Mayilsamy are in supporting roles. Kathir plays the role of a transgender person, and a non-resident Indian who occasionally comes to India to visit his school friend. Plot His possessiveness and close association with his friend are the causes of a major accident that kills two innocent people. Kathir feels highly dejected when his close friend looks for companionship with other women, ignoring his emotions. The movie is set in Anna Nagar and depicts events that happen one day. The movie opens with a pimp named Prasath ( Raj Barath) handling prostitutes with his partner Chetta ( Rajesh Sharma). Prasath shows special care for a prostitute named Buvana ( Riythvika) and treats her better than the others. One night, a customer named Santhosh (Mal Maruga) calls Prasath and asks him for a girl. Prasath asks Chetta, who ...

SIGMOD
SIGMOD is the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Management of Data, which specializes in large-scale data management problems and databases. The annual ACM SIGMOD Conference, which began in 1975, is considered one of the most important in the field. While traditionally this conference had always been held within North America, it took place in Paris in 2004, Beijing in 2007, Athens in 2011, and Melbourne in 2015. The acceptance rate of the ACM SIGMOD Conference, averaged from 1996 to 2012, was 18%, and it was 17% in 2012. In association with SIGACT and SIGAI, SIGMOD also sponsors the annual ACM Symposium on Principles of Database Systems (PODS) conference on the theoretical aspects of database systems. PODS began in 1982, and has been held jointly with the SIGMOD conference since 1991. Each year, the group gives out several awards to contributions to the field of data management. The most important of these is the SIGMOD Edgar F. Codd Innovations ...

Recurring Events Established In 1982
Recurring means occurring repeatedly and can refer to several different things: Mathematics and finance *Recurring expense, an ongoing (continual) expenditure *Repeating decimal, or recurring decimal, a real number in the decimal numeral system in which a sequence of digits repeats infinitely *Curiously recurring template pattern (CRTP), a software design pattern Processes *Recursion, the process of repeating items in a self-similar way *Recurring dream, a dream that someone repeatedly experiences over an extended period Television *Recurring character, a character, usually on a television series, that appears from time to time and may grow into a larger role *Recurring status Recurring status is a class of actors that perform on U.S. soap operas. Recurring status performers consistently act in less than three episodes out of a five-day work week, and receive a certain sum for each episode in which they appear. This i ..., condition whereby a soap opera actor may be us ...

Computer Science Conferences
A computer is a machine that can be programmed to automatically carry out sequences of arithmetic or logical operations (''computation''). Modern digital electronic computers can perform generic sets of operations known as ''programs'', which enable computers to perform a wide range of tasks. The term computer system may refer to a nominally complete computer that includes the hardware, operating system, software, and peripheral equipment needed and used for full operation; or to a group of computers that are linked and function together, such as a computer network or computer cluster. A broad range of industrial and consumer products use computers as control systems, including simple special-purpose devices like microwave ovens and remote controls, and factory devices like industrial robots. Computers are at the core of general-purpose devices such as personal computers and mobile devices such as smartphones. Computers power the Internet, which links billions of computer ...
