Sylviane Agacinski-Jospin (; born 4 May 1945) is a French philosopher, feminist, author, professor at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS), and wife of Lionel Jospin, former Prime Minister of France. Sylviane Deferne (born 1965 in Geneva, Switzerland) is a Swiss pianist and musician. Early musical education Deferne started studying the piano in the Geneva Conservatory of Music of her hometown of Geneva, and she soon won first prize of virtuosity with distinction. She won several international competitions, including first prize unanimously at the Frank Martin Competition in the Netherlands, and second prizes in the international competitions at William Kapell in the United States and in Cologne, Germany. Career Deferne has had engagements as a soloist in Europe and the US. She has partnered in ensembles including Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C., and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. Sylviane Anna Diouf is a historian and curator of the African diaspora. She is a visiting scholar at the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice at Brown University and a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience. In an interview she said her contributions as a social historian "may be the uncovering of essential stories and topics that were overlooked or negated, but which actually offer new insights into the experience of the African Diaspora. A scholar said my work re-shapes and re-directs our understanding of this history; it shifts our attention, corrects the historical record, and reveals hidden and forgotten voices." Sylviane Felix (born 31 October 1977 in Créteil, France) is a track and field sprint athlete, competing internationally for France, who won the bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m relay at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Felix started running at age fifteen. She suffered knee and back injuries which forced her out of competition for two years between 1998 and 2000. She did not know anything about athletics and was not particularly interested in it but she won her first race. "The sensations were extraordinary so I continued with it." Her best senior solo result was finishing 4th in the 200 m final at the 2002 European Athletics Championships in Munich. Felix was the 1996 world junior 200 m champion.
