Sydney Thunder
The Sydney Thunder is an Australian franchise professional cricket team, competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League. Along with the Sydney Sixers, the Thunder is the successor to the Speed Blitz Blues, New South Wales Blues which played in the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The team's home ground is Sydney Showground Stadium. David Warner (cricketer)
David Andrew Warner (born 27 October 1986) is an Australian former international cricketer, captain of Big Bash League team Sydney Thunder and captain of Pakistan Super League team Karachi Kings. A left-handed Batting order (cricket)#Opening batsmen or openers, opening batter, Warner was the first Australian cricketer in 132 years to be selected for the national team in any format without experience in first-class cricket. The 2015 AFC Asian Cup was the 16th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international association football, football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Stadium Australia, currently known as Accor Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium located in the suburb of Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. KFC Twenty20 Big Bash
The KFC Twenty20 Big Bash was a domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The competition was organised by Cricket Australia, and sponsored by fast food chicken outlet KFC. Running over six seasons from 2005–06 to 2010–11, the Twenty20 Big Bash was the first top level domestic Twenty20 competition in Australia, contested by the six traditional Sheffield Shield state cricket teams. The New South Wales cricket team (formerly nicknamed NSW Blues) are an Australian men's professional first class cricket team based in the Australian state ofNew South Wales. The team competes in the Australian first class cricket competition known as the Sheffield Shield and the limited overs One-Day Cup. The Sydney Sixers is an Australian professional franchise men's cricket team, competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League (BBL). Along with the Sydney Thunder, the Sixers are the successors of the Speed Blitz Blues, New South Wales Blues who played in the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash.
