Sybrand Engelbrecht (cricketer)
Sybrand Abraham Engelbrecht (born 15 September 1988) is a South African-born former Dutch cricketer who played for the Netherlands national cricket team. On 17 June 2024, he announced his retirement from international cricket. Biography Engelbrecht was born in Johannesburg. He attended school at the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool and holds an MBA degree from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He made his first-class debut for Northerns in October 2007 and scored 45 runs and took four wickets against North West in the Provincial Challenge. He made an impact during the Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia in 2008 with his fielding at point and took catches that drew comparison with Jonty Rhodes. He played for Cape Cobras and was the replacement for an injured JP Duminy at the 2014 Champions League Twenty20. Cobras released him from their contract list in 2016. 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, co-hosted by Cricket West Indies and USA Cricket from 1 to 29 June 2024. It was the first major ICC tournament to include matches played in the United States. The West Indies had previously hosted the 2010 competition. A total of twenty teams competed in 55 matches across six venues in the West Indies, and three in the United States. 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series (round 1)
The 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series was the first round of the 2024–2026 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament took place in Nepal in February 2024. The tri-nation series was contested by the men's national teams of Namibia, Nepal and Netherlands. The matches were played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup was the 13th edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The Topklasse (known until 2010 as the Hoofdklasse) is the highest domestic 50-over cricket competition in the Netherlands. The Voorburg Cricket Club is a cricket club based in Voorburg, Netherlands. It plays home fixtures at Sportpark Westvliet, having previously played at Sportpark Duivesteijn until 2006. 2015 Africa T20 Cup
The 2015 Africa T20 Cup was a Twenty20 cricket tournament held in South Africa from 4 September to 4 October 2015, as a curtain-raiser to the 2015–16 South African domestic season. Organized by Cricket South Africa, it featured thirteen South African provincial teams, as well as a Zimbabwean development XI and the national sides of Kenya and Namibia. South Western Districts Cricket Team
South Western Districts, known as SW Districts or SWD, is a South African first class cricket team based in the Western Cape city of Oudtshoorn, representing approximately the eastern half of Western Cape province. They form part of the Cape Cobras franchise, and play their home games at the Oudtshoorn Recreation Ground. Playing history South Western Districts played their inaugural first-class match in the Currie Cup in 1904 at Mossel Bay against Western Province but did not play another first-class match for 102 years.
