Swedish bandy champions () is a title held by the winners of the final of the highest Swedish bandy league played each year, Elitserien. The final is called ''Svenska bandyfinalen'' ("Swedish Bandy Final") and is played in March. From the 2007–08 season, Saturday replaced Sunday as the final date, but was changed back to Sunday again and again to Saturday in 2015 in 2010. In 2009 Eurosport 2 showed it for the 1st time. History The first final was held in 1907, when IFK Uppsala beat IFK Gävle with 4–1 in Boulognerskogen, Gävle. In 1912 two winners were declared, because no replay of the tied final could be played due to the weather. Venue The arena with the most finals is Stockholm Olympic Stadium in Stockholm (50 times), Söderstadion in Stockholm (23) and Studenternas IP (17). Nya Parken, formerly known as Norrköpings Idrottspark, also known as PlatinumCars Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in Norrköping, Sweden. It opened on 25 September 1903 and is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home arena for IFK Norrköping, IK Sleipner and for IF Sylvia. The stadium had a capacity of 19,414 people until 2008–09 when the arena was re-built. Construction began on 27 April 1903, and inauguration occurred on 25 September the same year, during the Norrköping Sports Association's Sport Festival. ABB Arena is the common name for the two biggest indoor arenas in Västerås, Sweden. Venues Arena Nord ABB Arena Nord is the ice hockey arena and VIK Västerås HK's home arena. It was renovated in September 2007 and has a capacity of 4,902 spectators. "ABB Arena Nord" is the renovated arena, which was earlier called ''Rocklundahallen''. The Swedish Bandy Association () is the governing body of the winter team sport of bandy in Sweden. It organizes the bandy leagues, Elitserien and Allsvenskan for men and Damallsvenskan for women, and the men's and women's national teams. It was established in Stockholm on 5 April 1925, and is based in Stockholm, after moving from Katrineholm. It is a founding member of FIB, Federation of International Bandy. Bandy was introduced in Sweden in 1895 by all-round athlete Clarence von Rosen. He picked the game up during a visit to bandy's home country Great Britain. He started the first bandy club in Sweden, Stockholm Hockeyklubb. First in 1905 bandy was organized within Swedish Ballgame Association and a year later within Swedish Football Association. Nationalarenan, known as Strawberry Arena since 2024 for sponsorship reasons, is a retractable roof multi-purpose stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. Located next to the lake Råstasjön in Solna, just north of the City Centre, it is the largest stadium in Scandinavia.
