Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards
Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards is one of the most prestigious awards of the country annual awards that honour Indian artistes and acknowledge talent and skill emerging musical artists in India. The award was instituted in memory of Jyotsna Darda (wife of Vijay J. Darda, Vijay Darda) by Lokmat media. The event is usually held in Nagpur but lately, it has been organized in other cities such as Mumbai and Delhi. In 2023, the award also created a category 'Sur Jyotsna National Music Legends'. Javed Akhtar
Javed Akhtar (born 1945) is an Indian screenwriter, lyricist and poet. Known for his work in Hindi cinema, he has won five National Film Awards, and received the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2007, two of India's highest civilian honours. Anita Singhvi (born 22 July 1964) is an Indian classical singer. She is an exponent of Sufi music Early life Anita Singhvi was born into a business family in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Vijay Ghate
Vijay Ghate (born 18 October 1964) is an Indian tabla player. He was awarded with "Padma Shri" award in 2014, the fourth highest civilian award by Government of India. Early life Ghate was born in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. He started learning his art at an early age of three in Jabalpur. He then moved to Mumbai, and learned for over twelve years under Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar. Talat Aziz
Talat Aziz (born 11 November 1956) is an Indian ghazal singer and actor. Early life Aziz was born in Hyderabad, India to Abdul Azeem Khan and Sajida Abid, a famous Urdu writer and poet. He attended Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. His family organized Mehfils, inviting artists and poets such as Jagjit Singh and Jan Nisar Akhtar. This greatly influenced him to learn music from an early age. Personal life Aziz is married to Bina Aziz, a painter and art curator. They have two sons, Adnan Aziz and Shayaan Aziz.
