Super–Vocal (season 1)
''Super–Vocal'' ( zh, c=声入人心, p=Shēng rù rénxīn) is a Chinese reality television created and produced by Hunan TV and iQiyi. It is a singing competition focused on classically trained singers, singing both operatic and musical pieces. It features 36 male singers, with six winners after a total of 100 days of training and filming. "Super-Vocal" Season 1 premiered on November 2, 2018, while Season 2 premiered on July 19, 2019. Format Each season is filmed in a total of 100 days. During the competition, 36 male bel canto performers are challenged with different ensembles over each episode. In each episode, performers vie for the six spots as an "apprentice", but the rounds do not have elimination. The judges will train contestants during the competition based on the vocal range and their suitors on each Apprentice and Cover rounds. Cai Chengyu
Cai Chengyu (; born January 17, 1998) is a Chinese tenor. He is known for participating in Hunan TV's singing variety show '' Super-Vocal'' where he first gained attention and recognition for becoming one of the top 6 leading singers in 2018. Cai joined Decca Records in 2019 and released his first solo EP ''Cai Chengyu'' in 2021''.'' Cai made his opera debut as Don Ottavio in ''Don Giovanni'' produced by Shanghai Opera House in 2020 and his debut at National Centre for the Performing Arts as Camille de Rosillon in ''The Merry Widow'' in 2023. Cai obtained his bachelor's and master's degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2021 and 2024 respectively. Lars Huang ( zh, s=黄子弘凡; born 21 April 1999), is a Chinese singer and actor. He has released 3 EPs and 1 album as well as starring in one television series and 4 musicals. Early life Huang was born in Lanzhou, Gansu, China, on 21 April 1999. His father is Huang Jinzhong, a tenor singer and national first-class actor. Both of his parents are professors at Sichuan Normal University, where his father teaches music and his mother teaches dance.
