''Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Gamebook'' is a series of 18 gamebooks published from 1985 to 1988. The series was initially titled ''Super Endless Quest Adventure Gamebook'' as the books added a more complex game system to stories which otherwise share the same style with the Endless Quest The ''Endless Quest'' books were three series of gamebooks. A prisoner (also known as an inmate or detainee) is a person who is deprived of liberty against their will. This can be by confinement, captivity, or forcible restraint. The term applies particularly to serving a prison sentence in a prison. English law "Prisoner" is a legal term for a person who is imprisoned. In section 1 of the Prison Security Act 1992, the word "prisoner" means any person for the time being in a prison as a result of any requirement imposed by a court or otherwise that he be detained in legal custody. ''Ravenloft'' is an adventure module for the '' Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D'') fantasy role-playing game. The American game publishing company TSR, Inc. released it as a standalone adventure booklet in 1983 for use with the first edition ''Advanced Dungeons & Dragons'' game. It was written by Tracy and Laura Hickman, and includes art by Clyde Caldwell with maps by David Sutherland III. The plot of ''Ravenloft'' focuses on the villain Strahd von Zarovich, a vampire who pines for his lost love. Various story elements, including Strahd's motivation and the locations of magical weapons, are randomly determined by drawing cards. Doug Chaffee
Douglas Stewart Chaffee (January 24, 1936 – April 26, 2011) was an American artist whose work appeared in role-playing games as well as military and Christian publications. Early life and education Chaffee was the son of Ralph and Marjorie Chaffee and grew up in Upstate New York. He served in the United States Army and then in the Army National Guard. He studied art and history at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Career After college, Chaffee worked at IBM for nearly 20 years, eventually becoming head of the Art Department. Allen Varney (born 1958) is an American writer and game designer. Varney has produced numerous books, role-playing game supplements, technical manuals, articles, reviews, columns, and stories, as well as the fantasy novel ''Cast of Fate'' ( TSR, 1996). Jan Duursema (born October 27, 1954) is an American comics artist known for her work on the ''Star Wars'' comics franchise. She is the creator of Denin and Vila from Naldar, the Twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura and the Kiffar Jedi Quinlan Vos. Carl Lundgren (born July 12, 1947) is an American artist and illustrator, primarily known for his 1960s-era rock posters and fantasy art. Career Born on July 12, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan, Lundgren had an early interest in becoming a fantasy artist and illustrator like Frank Frazetta, his idol. At the age of 18, he was co-chairman of the first multimedia science fiction convention, The Detroit Triple Fan Fair, featuring comics, movies and science fiction.
