List Of Amalgam Comics Publications
Near the end of the ''DC vs. Marvel'' Crossover (fiction), crossover in 1996, Amalgam Comics released a series of One-shot (comics), one-shot comic book issues combining characters from the DC Universe with characters from the Marvel Universe. The first 12 Amalgam titles were released in a single week, temporarily replacing both publishers' regular releases. Half the comics in the event were published by DC Comics and half by Marvel Comics. In 1997 the event was repeated, but without the crossover event as a background. Later, both publishers collected all of their one-shots into four Trade paperback (comics), trade paperbacks. All 24 of the one-shots occurred between ''Marvel Comics vs. DC'' #3 and ''DC vs. Marvel Comics'' #4, the last two issues of the crossover event. Captain America
Captain America is a superhero created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby who appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in '' Captain America Comics'' #1, published on December 20, 1940, by Timely Comics, a corporate predecessor to Marvel. Captain America's civilian identity is Steven "Steve" Rogers, a frail man enhanced to the peak of human physical perfection by an experimental " super-soldier serum" after joining the United States Army to aid the country's efforts in World War II. Equipped with an American flag–inspired costume and a virtually indestructible shield, Captain America and his sidekick Bucky Barnes clashed frequently with the villainous Red Skull and other members of the Axis powers. In the war's final days, an accident left Captain America frozen in a state of suspended animation until he was revived in modern times. Amalgam Comics
Amalgam Comics was a collaborative publishing imprint shared by DC Comics and Marvel Comics, in which the two comic book publishers merged their characters into new ones (e.g., the DC Comics character Batman and the Marvel Comics character Wolverine became the Amalgam Comics character the Dark Claw). These characters first appeared in a series of 12 one-shots which were published in April 1996 between ''Marvel Comics versus DC'' #3 and ''DC versus Marvel Comics'' #4, the last two issues of the '' DC vs. Marvel'' crossover event. A second set of 12 one-shots followed one year later in June 1997, but without the crossover event as a background. Kraven The Hunter
Kraven the Hunter (Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff; Russian: Сергей Николаевич Кравинов) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, the character first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #15 (August 1964) as an adversary for the superhero Spider-Man. He has since endured as one of the web-slinger's most formidable foes, and is part of the collective of adversaries that make up Spider-Man's rogues' gallery. Kraven has also come into conflict with other heroes, such as Black Panther and Tigra. He is the half-brother of the Chameleon and is one of the founding members of the Sinister Six. Hulk
The Hulk is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in the debut issue of ''The Incredible Hulk (comic book), The Incredible Hulk'' (May 1962). In his comic book appearances, the character, who has dissociative identity disorder (DID), is primarily represented by the alter ego Hulk, an immense, green-skinned, hulking brute, possessing a limitless degree of physical strength, and the alter ego Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, a physically weak, socially withdrawn, and emotionally reserved physicist, both of whom typically resent each other. Lucas Bishop is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer John Byrne and artist Whilce Portacio, the character first appeared in ''The Uncanny X-Men'' #282 (November 1991). Bishop debuted as a member of a mutant police force from a dystopian future of the Marvel Universe Xavier's Security Enforcers (XSE). He traveled to the 20th century and joined the X-Men. Conner Kent
Conner Kent is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared as a modern variation of Superboy in ''The Adventures of Superman (comic book), The Adventures of Superman'' #500 (June 1993), and was created by writer Karl Kesel and artist Tom Grummett. From the character's debut in 1993 to 2003, Superboy was depicted as a genetically-engineered metahuman human cloning, clone of human origin designed by Paul Westfield of Project Cadmus as a duplicate and equivalent of Superman, though released before he had fully matured. The character was retroactive continuity, retconned in ''Teen Titans (comic series), Teen Titans'' (vol. 3) #1 (September 2003) as a human/Kryptonian binary clone made from the DNA of Superman and Lex Luthor.
