Supachai Tangwongsan
Supachai Tangwongsan ( th, ศุภชัย ตั้งวงศ์ศานต์, born 18 December 1947) is a Thai emeritus professor of computer science at Mahidol University, Thailand. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in electrical engineering at Purdue University with the Royal support of King Ananda Mahidol Foundation scholarship. In working experience, Dr. Tangwongsan recently was Chairman of the Executive Board of National Software Industry Promotion Agency of Thailand in 2010-2014. He hold the title of University Vice-President for Academic Infrastructures and Chief Information Officer (CIO) from 1998 to 2007. He was assigned to pioneer an establishment of the Computing Center, Mahidol University and he held the title of Director from 1986 to 1999. Mahidol University
Mahidol University (Mahidol), an autonomous research institution in Thailand, had its origin in the establishment of Siriraj Hospital in 1888. Mahidol had an acceptance rate for Medicine of 0.4% as of the 2016 academic year. Becoming the University of Medical Science in 1943, it has been recognized as the country's fourth public university. The university was later renamed in 1969 by King Bhumibol Adulyadej after his father, Prince Mahidol of Songkhla, the "Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand". Chulalongkorn University (CU, th, จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย, ), nicknamed Chula ( th, จุฬาฯ), is a public and autonomous research university in Bangkok, Thailand. Chulalongkorn ( th, จุฬาลงกรณ์, 20 September 1853 – 23 October 1910) was the fifth monarch of Siam under the House of Chakri, titled Rama V. He was known to the Siamese of his time as ''Phra Phuttha Chao Luang'' (พระพุทธเจ้าหลวง, the Royal Buddha). Chulalongkorn's reign was characterised by the modernisation of Siam, governmental and social reforms, and territorial concessions to the British and French.
