Suniti Academy
Sunity Academy is a higher secondary girls' school in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. History The school was founded in 1881 as Sunity College by His Highness, the Maharaja of Cooch Behar. It was named after Her Highness Maharani Suniti Devi, who was the brain behind its establishment. She was the daughter of Keshub Chandra Sen. The school was rechristened as Sunity Academy in 1916. In 1928, the Sunity Academy was affiliated to the University of Calcutta. However, the school is now attached to University of North Bengal since its inception in 1962. In 1937, when the representative of the Governor General of the Eastern States came to visit Sunity Academy, he was highly impressed with its management. In 2003, the erstwhile president of India, APJ Abdul Kalam visited the school. In 2004, Her Highness Gayatri Devi, the Rajmata of Jaipur and the Princess of Cooch Behar, paid a visit. Suniti Devi
Her Highness Maharani Suniti Devi Narayan (née Sen), (30 September 1864 – 10 November 1932), was an educator, social worker, author, and the queen of the princely state of Cooch Behar, British India. Early life Suniti Devi was a daughter of the renowned Brahmo Samaj reformist, Keshub Chandra Sen of Calcutta, and Jagonmohini Sen. She was married to Nripendra Narayan (1863-1911), the Maharaja of Cooch Behar in 1878, when she was only fourteen years of age. She stayed at her father's place for two years after marriage, as Narayan left for London for higher studies immediately after their marriage. She was the mother of four sons and three daughters: sons Rajendra Narayan (b.1882), Jitendra Narayan (b.1886), Victor Nityendra Narayan (b.1888), and Hitendra Narayan (b.1890), and daughters Sukriti Devi (b.1884), Pratibha Devi (b.1891) and Sudhira Devi (b.1894).

Suniti Kumar Chatterji
Suniti Kumar Chatterji (26 November 1890 – 29 May 1977) was an Indian linguist, educationist and litterateur. He was a recipient of the second highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Vibhushan. Life Childhood Chatterji was born on 26 November 1890, at Shibpur in Howrah. He was the son of Haridas Chattopadhyay, an affluent Bengali Kulin Brahmin. According to the family history, their ancestors were originally residents of a village named chatuti in the Rarh region of present-day West Bengal. During the Turkic invasion of Bengal in the thirteenth century, the Chatterji family left their ancestral village in West Bengal and took shelter in East Bengal. Suniti Namjoshi
Suniti Namjoshi (born 1941 in Mumbai, India) is a poet and a fabulist. She grew up in India, worked in Canada and at present lives in the southwest of England with English writer Gillian Hanscombe. Her work is playful, inventive and often challenges prejudices such as racism, sexism, and homophobia. She has written many collections of fables and poetry, several novels, and more than a dozen children's books. Her work has been translated into several languages, including Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Chinese, Korean, Hindi and Turkish. Early life Suniti Namjoshi was born in Mumbai in 1941. Her father, Manohar Vinayak Namjoshi, was senior test pilot at Hindustan Aircraft in Bangalore. He was killed when his plane crashed in 1953.
