Sum 41
Sum 41 was a Canadian rock band formed in Ajax, Ontario, in 1996. The band's final lineup consisted of Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards), Dave Baksh (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jason McCaslin (bass, backing vocals), Tom Thacker (guitars, keyboards, backing vocals), and Frank Zummo (drums, occasional backing vocals). In 1999, Sum 41 signed an international record deal with Island Records and released its first EP, '' Half Hour of Power'', in 2000. ''All Killer No Filler'' is the debut studio album by Canadian rock band Sum 41, released on May 8, 2001. It was certified platinum in the United States, Canada, and in the UK. The Southside Festival (simply known as Southside) is an annual Music festival#Rock Music festivals, music festival that takes place near Tuttlingen, Germany, usually every June. "In Too Deep" is a song by Canadian rock band Sum 41. It is the seventh track on their debut studio album ''All Killer No Filler'' (2001), and was released as the second single in September 2001. History According to Ben Cook of Fucked Up, No Warning and Young Guv, "In Too Deep" was originally a reggae song, to be released by writer Greig Nori's band Treble Charger and feature rapper Snow in the verses. ''Half Hour of Power'' is the debut extended play by Canadian rock band Sum 41. It was released on June 27, 2000, on Big Rig Records, a subsidiary of Island Records (United States), and Aquarius Records (Canada). The cover features the band's then-drummer Steve Jocz aiming a Nerf gun up in the air and standing in front of an explosion in the background. Though officially an EP, ''Half Hour of Power'' may also be considered the band's debut studio album. Most of the songs featured on the EP were included as bonus tracks on Sum 41's actual debut studio album ''All Killer No Filler'' (2001), which featured a re-recorded version of ''Half Hour of Powers sixth track "Summer". Franklin Charles Zummo (born July 2, 1978) is an American musician, best known as the drummer for rock bands Sum 41 and Street Drum Corps. Career Zummo is one of the founding members of Street Drum Corps. He has performed as the drummer for several other bands, both as a full-time member and session member, including Thenewno2, theStart, Dead By Sunrise, Virgin Steele, and Krewella. In August 2009, Zummo filled in for Tommy Lee for a string of Mötley Crüe shows. In January 2011, he became the new drummer for the band Julien-K. Tom Thacker (musician)
Thomas William Arnold Thacker (born April 11, 1973), known by his stage name Brown Tom, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, singer, and record producer. He is the lead guitarist, lead singer and co-founder of the punk rock group Gob, as well as the former co-lead guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist for Sum 41. Thacker formed Gob with Theo Goutzinakis in 1993. Following Dave Baksh's departure from Sum 41 on May 11, 2006, Thacker was recruited as their touring guitarist, and then became an official member in 2009. He had remained with Sum 41 ever since (even after Baksh rejoined the band in 2015), up until the group's disbandment in 2025. Though primarily known as a vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist, Thacker's first instrument was the drums.
