Cardiac arrest (also known as sudden cardiac arrest [SCA]) is when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating. ''Destroyer of Worlds'' is the tenth studio album by Swedish extreme metal band Bathory. It was released on 9 October 2001 through Black Mark Production, over five years after the previous album ''Blood on Ice'' (1996), marking the longest period between studio albums by Bathory. Quorthon performs all instruments on this album, similarly to how he did on '' Twilight of the Gods'' and all albums after ''Destroyer of Worlds''. Background The album's title is taken from a famous quote by J. Robert Oppenheimer about the atomic bomb: "I am become death, destroyer of worlds", which was itself quoted from verse 32 of chapter 11 in the Bhagavad Gita, spoken by Vishnu. Sudden Death Records is a Vancouver, British Columbia based record label run by Joe "Shithead" Keithley, frontman of D.O.A. Sudden Death Records arrived in Canada's burgeoning punk scene in 1978. Keithley formed the label to release his D.O.A.'s album Disco Sucks. It was only a part-time label until 1998, when they began to expand further into punk rock music. In keeping with the "Do It Yourself" attitude of its founder Joe Keithley, Sudden Death Records remained a friend to smaller musicians while keeping multi-national record conglomerates at bay. In doing so, they have earned themselves the respect of numerous luminaries within the music industry. Daniel James "Danny" Howland (born June 29, 1993), better known by his alias Svdden Death (stylized in all caps), is a Los Angeles DJ and producer from San Jose, California. He is known for his song " Sell Out", a collaboration with American multi-platinum artist Marshmello that peaked on ''Billboard's'' Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 36 position in early 2019. Howland makes high-energy music that falls into the genre of dubstep and riddim. It remains a difficult medical challenge to prevent the sudden cardiac death of athletes, typically defined as natural, unexpected death from cardiac arrest within one hour of the onset of collapse symptoms, excluding additional time on mechanical life support.
